<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Pacers fan forever @ Mar 25 2007, 04:07 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>JO is starting to play now with injury. He's not being a baby anymore. Oden and Peirce would be a great duo - but you don't know how long it would take for that to get you wins. At least with Jermaine you get a pretty much guarenteed top 5 playoff spot in the East.If Jamaal got a tough black (he'd probably listen better to his own race (not racist)) coach on his rear end he would probably become a lot more disceplened and mature.Plus we take on the expiring contracts of theo and wally and you get rid of them.</div>Here's the thing, though... it wouldn't just be Pierce, Oden, and that's it. Are you forgetting about Al Jefferson? He is playing at an All-Star level right now, without question. Wally coming back. Good role players like Delonte West and Ryan Gomes. Guys like Rondo, Green, Perkins, Telfair getting better. Tony Allen coming back, eventually. I mean it wouldn't be Pierce/Oden, it would be Pierce/Big Al/Oden.Tinsley listening better to a black coach? Yeah... that's not a racist comment (sarcasm). Are you also forgetting that Doc is an idiot?

I dunno what you guys want: instant success or success a long time from now.

Basically no team has a chance except Orlando because I wouldn't even consider it for anyone except Dwight Howard.

I think Chicago would do the 2nd pick for Gasol...if somehow the salaries worked.

Realistically, the only player that would be worth dealing the first for if you had the 1st pick (or 2nd) would be Lebron. And he is untouchable as well.

I think Chicago will, if Durant and Oden came out, Oden will most likely be taken 1st. Does chicago really need another perimeter player? No, they need a scoring big man. I think unless they can get ahold of Oden, Chicago will end up trading their pick..to memphis or not...thats just my opinion.

I would trade this years #1 for many even though I am high on Oden.Lebron, Wade, Melo, Dwight, Bosh, Chris Paul some younger ones. And a few players that only if they were younger are: Kobe, AI, Duncan, KGBut this year only for those young gunners I said.

If Greg Oden and Kevin Durant enter the draft, NO team would trade the #1 and #2 picks away for anything.

In the East? Give me a break.

^Too bad winning in the NBA is not determined by each position individually numbnuts. It's how they play as a team.

How about thinking about that.

The Celtics have a chance to land an amazing player with their pick (it will most likely be a top 2 the way things are looking), and the player they would be getting would be just as infulential as Jermaine in max 2 years. This trade would be dumb.

He said they would contend. You cant count the Celtics out of a seeding next year. The Atlantic will get a bit interesting next year actually.

If Boston beats us for first in the Atlantic, we get a 7th seed, meaning we have an even harder chance than this year of getting pass the first round.
