I must admit i went over to the Thunder site to read what was being said. But i don't post things because it seems like trollish behavior.
They have to deal with their loss. No need to rub it in their faces.

Beating the Thunder is like Chinese food....so good, 10 minutes later you just want to do it all over again

 

This won't be popular, but after getting a chance to watch the replay of the game this A.M. I don't think Melo should have been ejected. Flagrant 1 maybe, but to me it's just not clear he went head-hunting. It looked like he was trying to draw contact and make a circus shot.

 

Both times were in November too.

 

Nice whine-fest by the Thunder and one-sided reporting by ESPN. In other words, the usual:

Flagrant Foul Penalty 1

When a player attempts a move where there is not ample room but despite the obvious risk continues, and makes significant but not excessive contact with an extended elbow, a Flagrant Foul 1 will be assessed. This is also the case if the elbow is swung, apart from a basketball move, and makes significant but not excessive contact.



Flagrant Foul Penalty 2

When a player makes excessive contact with an extended elbow, that is deemed reckless or intentional, a Flagrant Foul 2 will be assessed.



When a player seeks out an opponent and throws an elbow which makes significant contact on any part of the body, regardless of where it lands, a Flagrant Foul Penalty 2 will be assessed.



When a player seeks out an opponent and throws an elbow which makes any contact above the shoulders, a Flagrant Foul Penalty 2 will be assessed."



This is the penalty as defined by the NBA.

 

I’d undoubtedly have been pissed initially, but if you look at the video closely, I can’t argue with what the ref said. There was no natural basketball reason for Melo’s elbow to go away from the basket and into Nurk’s face. Throw in the context of Nurk’s inadvertent contact with Westbrook’s face earlier, and I have no doubt that it was intentional. I can’t imagine Dame doing something like that.

 

It's true though. George is their best player and once Anthony went out, he went off. I wonder how long before OKC starts giving George the ball late in games instead of the other two.
