#Yankees announcer Michael Kay just said on his radio show that he received a "very credible" text that Aaron Judge is winning the 2017 AL MVP. Time will tell...

If true I'm sure MLB will be ecstatic their biggest award announced by yankee announcer a day early. LOL

eerie similar, with Morneau, Mauer and Santana, the Twinkies had 3 MVP candidate's, but neither one imo, fit the bill or criteria of that one player, critically essential to his team. Jeter was flat out screwed over, while the other(s) were a core 3; too similar to Altuve, Correa and Springer, all 3 were/are equally similar contributors. Judge is the one man that stands above the rest imo for this yr's MVP-

It's gonna' be a travesty if he's overlooked....

Yep. Jeter did get screwed on that. Looked like committee chose power over average and if they use the parameters they used then Judge should win. Outside of average and steals(who cares) Judge had the edge in the categories that carry teams like hrs and rbi"s amongst others. Hoping Kay is right or he will look like a damn fool for opening his mouth early just to say "I had it here first".

Yeah, in a way I'm kinda surprised that Kay went out on a limb like that...and you're right, if his info turns out to be bogus he'll look foolish and if he's right MLB will be pissed and will want to know who leaked the results.

Kay just said on the air he thinks altuve will win but his source says otherwise. I guess hell be right either way then. LOL

...doesn't sound like Kay has much confidence in his "source".

Altuve MVP by a lot. Kay needs new sources. Ha ha ha. Whoever gave judge the 3rd place vote should have his credentials removed. This time the opposite of jeter where they now like speed and average over power. The anti-NY bias rears its ugly head again.

...not really surprised that Altuve won but I am a little surprised by the margin by which he won...and yeah, placing Judge 3rd is a joke. I'd like to hear that voter's justification.

So lets see..Altuve won average, hits, steals and fucking strikeouts. Judge everything else including the supposedly all important war category which I still don't understand. This vote was a travesty. I guess the voters like leprechauns.

Not surprising at all. One of the biggest factors is that the Astros won their division. Judge will eventually get his.

Didn't seem to be a factor in NL as stanton won on a last place team. I thin judge's biggest deterrent was the negativity and notoriety he got for that month long slump. And with that he still had the better overall numbers. But I think your right that Judge will eventually get his share of these

...but that's the very reason why I have a problem with the way the voters rationalize their votes. The Astros would have still won their division (a somewhat weak division) even without Altuve...the Yanx came within ONE game of going to the WS....would they have even made the PS without Judge?...no way, which IMO, is precisely why Judge was "Most Valuable" to his team.

...good find...but if you really want a head scratcher compare Judge's and Altuve's stats to Ramirez's and tell me how anyone could justify voting for Ramirez over Judge and/or Altuve?.

Only explanation is cleveland writer that should have his prejudiced credentials revoked. I read somewhere and find it interesting that both NY writers voted for Altuve.

clear as day to me, the stats, the contributions to each team. Toss in the MVP "criteria-definition" and imo, it was Judge's all the way.....

Had writer's of used the same slant with their own criteria in 06, as they did this year, then, we'd of had a MVP in Re2pect....
