More liberal BS. Where does oil come from? The ground. What you're calling a leak is really just a migration home.
While I am appalled by the leak.....and the pipeline in general, a state that allows (literally) hundreds of miles of tacky and endless billboards for a useless pile of shit known as Wall Drug sounds hypocritical complaining about an oil leak. Yeah, it’s “apples to oranges” but it’s still desecration of the landscape in all its’ many forms. I guess the revenue from Wall Drug is “cleaner” and “safer” than that from the pipeline......but then, we’re all whores for something.......
Sorry, man, I dont get it. Several things come to mind. People try to make a big deal out of this. Okay, it is something that needs to be avoided, but when accidents happen, there is plenty of regulation and over site to ensure a proper clean up. Things to think about. In the early 1900s, there was so much crude old in many states, that they would burn it off as a waste product. Often there would be tacky oil swamps on the surface. This had been a natural occurrences far before man discovering a commercial use for the stuff. Also, there are bacteria that break down crude oil naturally.
Sorry. If you figure it out, let me know. I was making lite and picking on slick sly and his play with words is all. Nothing to do with the actual leak. You are right though, we have plenty of regulation and nothing in this world is perfect. Shit happens. Clean it up as quickly and efficiently as possibly while minimizing any further impact to the environment and move on.
