<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Cavsrules @ Mar 27 2007, 06:18 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>You don't understand, I say top because the Pistons are TOP in the league. They may not be No.1 but they are top five hands down. Denver isn't better then the Pistons, you kinda need to get that threw your head man, seriously.Iverson has passed when they said he couldn't pass, Iverson is doing fine and he isn't the problem really. Carmelo just needs to be unselfish in order for that duo to work. You can say they are, but their record with them together Obviously shows it's not. Carmelo is a kinda player that can and wants to always have the ball in his hands, because he believes he can make it happen. And that is their young guy they are trying to raise and trying to put great players around him. Believe me, it doesn't get any better then Allen Iverson. The fact is whatever the problem is it needs to be fixed, so far that duo has not worked. How in the world can you say that? Honestly, it hasn't done jack sh*t yet and you're putting Denver ahead of the Pistons who are way better then Denver. I just can't get over that right there. No, I can say it isn't working because IMO it isn't. Their record shows it too, how many games are they over .500? And your handing them a title of being ahead of one of the best in the Pistons? Ha, come on man get real here. I love saying Hughes and James are unstoppable, but are they? Hell no. Just like you're trying to say Carmelo and Iverson are the great duo that makes this team top in the league. And when I say top, I mean like top five bro.</div>Pistons are no were near top there are 3 teams on top Dallas, Suns, Spurs end of story. They are not hands down top 5 dude. Denver is better and you need to get that thru your head DET SUCKS. They are in the weak east Miami is better then them when healthy even. Yeah I know AI is not the problem I think he is passing to much trying to show he can play with Melo he better on D he is deff not the problem I agree. Yeah he does need to pass more Melo, but they still working. And them not working is not the reason at all why they are not winning cause if you would watch the games you would see that they are working. And Melo can make it happen he has shown that. Sometimes he trys to hard though, but he is fine cause he shooting a good %. The problem is Nene, JR, KL all need to be consistent with AI+Melo not same #'s of course but there role play. AI+Melo WORKED stop saying it's don't if you think that clearly you need to watch games and not just watch the box scores. They are not way better then Denver when they are not even a little better then Denver. And the record don't show everyone else working AI+Melo is the best duo in the league and is working ask anyone who watches the games them 2 are working. How are Pistons one of the best? Denver, Suns, Spurs are clearly better we agree. Rockets, Jazz, Denver are better ALSO. They only better then Lakers, and Cavs. Lebron is unstoppable Hughes is not even though he is good not consistent.Melo+AI is the best duo already name me a better one.And yes they are top 5 in the league not better then Dallas, Suns, and Spurs clearly, but everyone else they can beat.

Did you say Pistons suck? OK, I think you answered all my questions here. I'm done.. [IMG]<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Melo+AI is the best duo already name me a better one.</div>T-Mac/Yao, Shaq+Wade(Championship), Nash/Marion/Amare, Dirk/Howard(or Terry)(Best Record in the NBA), Duncan/Parker(Championship)So far, Melo and A.I showed me nothing about being the best duo in the NBA. They can be down the road but in order for that to happen, don't they got to win?

how is denver one of the top teams when they cant even play defense. Their defense is probably one of the worst in the league and you need defense to be a top team. because if you cant score, your F*cked. AI and Melo have played like 3 games well with each other. Denver doesn't have the capability to win against Detroit because Detroit would shut them down in a second

And they still not better then some others I am tired of you overrating them and others.Look at how many point they combine for out of the games they did play together. Look at some of the passes AI made to Melo tight hard passes. AI+Melo are deff working great. Them not winning don't mean that Melo+AI are not working try lack of D and other role players.Like I said check out what they combine for in games they played together. And then WATCH a game anyone who seen a few games can tell that AI+Melo been a great duo it's the role players being inconsistent, and mostly the D why were losing.Stop saying Melo+AI don't work cause that is just being stupid and anyone who watch Denver for a few games will tell you that Melo+AI is working the D is the reason for us losing.Go ahead who watches Denver BigMo? Anyone else who watched a few games of AI+Melo play together tell me they are getting it done right? It's the lack of D and none consistent role playing is why were losing.

And AI and Melo have only had like 2 bad games when they played together are you freakin kidding me? Ask anyone who watches Denver more then a few times. Last game, and another one was only 2 games they both played bad. Other then that the other games they played together they have clicked like glue. The duo is working GREAT.Denver fans am I right? AI+Melo have not been the problem they clicked except like 2 games were they were both of right?

Dallas is the only team that would be a huge fight against the Pistons. You gotta be crazy if you think that team can't hang with those. Its more like the other way around IMO.On the Iverson and Carmelo Duo. They are NOT the best duo in the league my friend. I don't know what you been smoking, but please put it down. I doubt they will be the best in the league at all. Ever....

Pistons can't hang with the Suns? Didn't they rout them without their best player? I find it funny you say the Pistons can't hang with a team like that. Thats just crazy, the Pistons also almost beat Dallas without their best player. And just last season this team was the best in the NBA. What are you on man? For real. Dude, I just told you a list of duos that have done better and that work better together. Hell, Hughes and James work better together. Allen and Lewis work better together. Stop overrating them, it's getting annoying... Seriously, I love Iverson and all but I don't think it is gonna work with Denver. I hope it does, and I hope they prove me wrong. But I don't see it working. You say it is, but their record tells me other wise. No, I haven't watched them as much as another Denver fan. But the problem with is I never can watch them that much because they are West cost and I didn't care about their team. The only reason I do now is because of Iverson. I got to watch Philly way more then Denver, so I miss that for sure. I hope the best for that duo though, as I stated before. But I don't see it working...

But I don't see it working...</div>No they can't Dallas, and Suns are on a diff level, and Spurs are the closest to them. And I am not talking 1 or 2 games I am talking 7 game series. And other teams got way better now I understand last season, but it's this season.Hughes and James work better then Melo+AI umm now that is being a homer. T-Mac+Yao even though I like them both T-Mac my 3rd fav player they played better with out each other as you see by when Yao was out. Shaq+Wade are great, but so far have not see much of them this year together injurys. Dirk/Howard are good Nash+one of the Amare/Marion also. Parker + Duncan not to high on Parker.Allen + Lewis work better the Larry, and Bron. But for real now saying Hughes and Bron work better together then AI+Melo is being a homer.I am not overrating AI+Melo your overrated DET.IT IS WORKING WITH HIM A MELO WATCH THE GAMES. They are losing again cause of role players not being consistent and MOSTLY D. Now cuase AI+Melo are not getting along. Ask Ballaholic, and Camby they watch Denver a lot so does BigMo I think he watches Denver also AI+Melo click see if they think they don't click. They might not agree that Denver is better then the teams I said, but they would agree that AI+Melo has clicked, and are deff working. And again u fail to see that them losing don't mean AI+Melo are not playing great together. It's the lack of role players it is the sucky D they play AI+Melo are more then playing good together they are clicking. OMFG how can u say you don't see them working out when they ARE WORKING ALREADY. Stop looking at the freakin record open your eyes watch some games. And think that they can be getting along playing clicking together but role players gotta do the same every game also, and they need to play D.You don't relize that AI+Melo can combine for 80 points 15 assists and they can score 130 a game yet if they give up 140 a game they lose. Now does that mean AI+Melo are not working together? NOO of course not it means they don't play D.Rigth now they combine except like 2 games for 50-60 points a game, and petty good with assists. The problem I keep saying is and people who watch Denver a lot would agree role players gotta be consistent but mostly the awful D.It is very bad when AI is playing your best D. Don't you agree?

Melo and AI will work out in Denver... maybe not "win a championship" work out, but at least "be one of the top teams in the West" workout. They've found their groove recently, and that's without AI being aggressive offensively in terms of scoring the ball. He settles a little too much and passes up easy scoring opportunities in an effort to defer to his teammates. Once he realizes when to pick and choose his spots for scoring and passing a little bit better (for example, if the team can't buy a basket, he should do what he did in Philly and take it upon himself to get them a bucket), they'll be that much better.Defensively it's a work in progress... they've definitely gotten better in that department. I think Carmelo was playing lackadaisical defense at times, but AI, Camby and Nene were giving their all defensively. Karl called him out on it, and now he's stepped up his defensive intensity. Karl has said numerous times that having Iverson is a blessing in so many ways, because Iverson is calling Anthony out on so many things, and Anthony is listening and improving those things. Anthony even said that seeing AI play all-out for 48 minutes a night has inspired him to do the same. AI has been a great leader in Denver so far.I've said it before and I'll say it again... nobody should judge Denver one way or the other based on this season. Even if there were no suspensions, injuries, etc. that they had to deal with, it is really hard to incorporate two star players not only with one another, but with the rest of the team. Next year is when we'll see what this team can do. On paper, they have a lot of pieces to contend for a title down the road... but we'll see how it plays out.

Sure winning a title will be hard even next year with Dallas, and Suns but possible. But mostly I was just saying AI+Melo is working right now even though it might not look that way by the record. They did find a groov together, and like he said that is with out AI going hard at on the offense of side. Yep I agree sometimes he passes up to much. Yeah sometimes he needs to just force it him self go to the hole w/e like in Philly if shots are not falling I agree. They have gotten better at D, but still a lot of work to be done yep. AI I saw trying hard on D, but that is probably cause I seen him for years in Philly and I saw him take it easy on D before so it is easy to see him really try on D. Camby is a great shot blocker, but sometimes the dude needs to step out and guard his men also. Yep AI deff can help Melo grow. He can call them out, and there friends Melo won't take it the wrong way like he might from Karl. Yep could not have said it better my self man.Yep thank you even with out the injurys, and suspensions it's hard to put 2 stars together, and have them and the role players just fit like that easy. Even though Melo+AI are clicking it still take time. So I agree can't really tell until next year. I agree with everything pretty much BigMo said.
