I'll be honest, I've never seen this source before.

NBC Just Blew Mike Pence’s Cover-up For Mike Flynn Wide Open

As many of us wake up every morning and ask if today is the day Donald Trump will be impeached, we often forget that were that to happen, Mike Pence would become president, and that is a different but still scary scenario. But now there’s a chance Pence could actually go before Trump.

In the wake of Michael Flynn’s resignation, it is clear that Mike Pence not only knew about Flynn’s Russian communications, but that he actively lied to help cover it up. The real kicker is that Pence was only told last week (still a week of lying) while Trump knew since January.

    According to NBC News:

Flynn’s actions as President Donald Trump’s short-lived national security adviser are under scrutiny after he resigned Monday night over phone calls he shared with Russia’s ambassador to the United States in December — before Trump took office. Among the topics discussed included U.S. sanctions imposed by the Obama administration against Moscow for its alleged role in the 2016 presidential election.

While Pence seemed to be kept in the dark, Trump was first told about Flynn’s phone calls almost three weeks ago, a White House spokesman said Tuesday.

Even after he was let in on the scandal, Pence claimed ignorance about it:

“He (Flynn) had been at the center of mounting controversy over the past several days in regard to his contacts with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. Following initial reports in early January that Flynn was in contact with Kislyak and spoke to him about US sanctions, Vice President Mike Pence offered a robust defense of the incoming national security adviser. He said in nationally televised interviews that he had spoken with Flynn and that Flynn had ensured him he had not spoken about sanctions with the Russian ambassador.”

It’s clear that after less than a month that the Donald Trump administration is among the most corrupt in our nation’s history. Maybe this is the scandal that will bring them crashing to earth so we can drain the swamp Trump has created and get on with actually making America great again, like it was before January 20.

I know that no one can ever assume anything about this particular presidency, but I'd always thought that the President was supposed to keep squeaky-clean hands and "plausible deniability" while he had minions (VP, SecState, Ollie North, whoever) do the dirty work. So when I saw reports that Trump may or may not have been orchestrating dumb and potentially illegal activities through his family members, keeping the VP out of the loop, it didn't make sense to me.

I'll say it again though....stand by if Mattis ends up as President. ;)

If the CNN/MSNBC wet dream of impeachment comes true, the first person on the list without reported scandals (based on the above article) is Mattis.
