I see the Navy wrecked another boat this weekend.

Are seamen distracted by giant penises? Is that the issue?

Nah, that one was a tug that lost power and bounced off of one of our ships...can't really fault the crew on that one, and HEY! No one died! +1!

They wreck ships to collect the insurance. It goes to a good cause, an Annapolis scholarship fund named the "Nimitz-Horatio Hornblower annual Ms. Landlock" awarded after a beauty contest contemplating her Naval Newport Jazz Festival.

nothing worse than losing tug power....but in my day...the crew would have been held accountable for letting even a floating tug hit the bulkhead...they should have corrected course and held the tug off...doesn't take much effort to stop a dead boat from floating into you...some boatswain's mate wasn't paying attention

I defer to the SWO bubbas on that, then...if a tug would've come unglued on us, we couldn't have maneuvered quickly enough to stop it from bouncing. Captain still would've been fired, #zerodefects, but not a lot that a boomer at bare steerageway can do to get out of the way in a restricted harbor
