26th March, 2007 - 10:06 am Chicago Tribune - Jason Richardson has reportedly been dropping hints that the Warriors infatuation with Monta Ellis will lead the Warriors to trade Richardson after the season. Richardson is telling friends he's hoping for a trade to the Pistons or Bulls Well it would be hard for him to be on any of those teams.. Unless he wants to become a 6man...Cause Richardson wouldnt start over Gordon or Deng.... And on pistons he wont start over Rip or Prince

I'm sure he wants to play for the Pistons because of his Michigan Roots. He's well liked here by the fans and by Dumars as well. And we COULD fit him into the starting lineup possibly. It would have to include Tayshaun starting at the PF position and JRich or Rip at the 3. Obviously it's not what you'd call a typical lineup, but Tayshaun and his armspan have played the PF position quite a bit this year in situation type deals..I'd have confidence he could do it on an every game basis. As for who'd we'd give up? I remember the Warriors being interested in Nazr a LITTLE bit.We could send something like Nazr, Hunter and Delfino(of our late first round pick this seasons). Hunter would then Retire. GSW would lose a little salary, gain a big man and another talented young guy..and clear the way for Ellis. The Bulls could obviously offer more but I'm not sure they would.

Only way I think Paxson would even try to go after jrich is if we traded Deng or Gordon to get KG or Pau. Besides that I dont seem paxson trying to get him. Unless Jrich decides to let GS buyout his big contract and sign cheap.

no way this is true. He's been constantly making these comments that these stories aren't true. He's stayed loyal throughout his career through much darker days

Jrich would be a great addition to either of these contendors if he would be willing to come off the bench. However, that would take alot of sacrifice on Jrich's part due to him being a starter most of his career in Golden State. I don't know how truthful these remarks are however I think that he will be on the bench next year no matter what squad he goes on. Monta has proven to be a scoring machine and Jrich hasn't slowed down much but Ellis is improving too quickly and I'm not sure how long the Warriors want to keep this small lineup. It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out in the off-season.
