this is going to be a tough road trip, Ill be happy if we go 3-2
sadly, I can see us going 1-4, hopefully not
You kind of never know which team is going to show up. We could easily go 4-1 or 1-4. Neither would surprise me. I know that you and I are both huge fans of Nurk, but it seems like whichever version of him shows up decides the outcome. When he gets into early foul trouble, he just becomes a complete non-factor. He's young, but it is something work on.

Nurk usually struggle aginst Marc Gasol, he defends the pnr so well, so theres one problem for Nurk and generally POR, and when he goes one on one againt Marc, its tough... well see, hopefully Nurk delivers

I know prune, Nurk frustrates me often, cause I know how good he can become, his physique is his biggest strength, and leverage on other C and if he expands his post game (he has to, needs to learn couple more moves), hell be TOP 5 C or just outside of that for decade

I mean, he has post game, mid range game, pnr, so he can score on multiple ways, he doesnt have frontal game, but with all he has, it not necessary

needs to improve his shooting from the low post, cause he misses some shots that should go in, misses easy putbacks/layups... his low post shots sometimes looks amazing and sometimes very ugly, he needs to get that done

Im very happy with the Nurk we have now, but if he expands low post game and improves his low post shooting, Ill be happy as I can be, cause that would mean hes one of the very best in the game among C

talent is there and only his head can stop him reaching that talent

man if we could find 6th man of the bench, a natural scorer on consistent basis, wed be much better, we need scoring from the bench, right know its a little bit better cause Napier is there, so far it was only ET and Ed Davis, those two sometimes deliver, sometimes not, but theyre not scorers anyway and you cant expect them to do that

Napier is filling that role, and that is great. But, ideally, you want someone with more size as a 6th man scorer, because we already go small with Dame and CJ. But, I welcome this new found playing time for Shabazz, because he is the most capable natural scorer off of the bench. This might sound sacrilegious, or something kingspeed might say, but Napier reminds me a lot of Isaiah Thomas, but with better defense. They honestly have the same skill set.

About Nurk: I love the guy. But he needs to work on secondary post moves. He has a couple of primary post moves down, but struggles when a defender takes away the first move. He seems to lack patience in the post. The quick move works often as he surprises a lot of people. But, the longer he has the ball, the more chance of a turnover or a bad shot. Basically, we NEED a legit big man coach. Someone to teach that patience, and to give him options for secondary and tertiary post moves.

thats not the bad idea, but I doubt that will happen, so if I were him, I would found personal coach
theres some C legends doing that...

He might have to pull a Meyers and hire a big man coach to work with in the off season. Getting some time with Tim Grgurich could do wonders.

We need 2 more scorer one on the starter and another off the bench. We got 6 points last night from our starter foward last night that not enough and that been another factor why we are not scoring like we did last year.

Harkless needs to show up for the season. He needs to put 10ppg at least. I tough he would upgrade his game in this off season. Tough road trip, and a tough game against them, but is payback time. Time to steal this one from them.

Remember last year at this time Harkless had 12 points per game and 38-40% from 3

Lucky to catch them with Conley out. Outside of Gasol, that is really a scrub team and the Blazers should win.

Then again, I've thought that a lot this season already and been disappointed.

Might be time to start Meyers.

Do we have a B2B within 14 hours when we Play in philly and brooklyn? I watched the Schedule on the nba app and saw we play on Wednesday in philly at 7 pm eastern time/1 am Europe time and Then on the same day later at 12 pm eastern time/ 6 pm Europa time??? That must to be wrong ?

Think the Europe time is confusing your days. We play in Philly on Wednesday, BK on Friday, And in WAS on Sat.

Blazers vs Grizzlies

Game day again and the Blazers are looking to right the wrong that transpired against this team just two short weeks ago. I know that if you give CJ that shot again he will not miss at the end of this game. The Grizzlies lucked out in my book. They have lost 4 straight and are looking at at least two more weeks before getting Conley back. This game will play out differently. The Blazers have one of their big bodies back. Meyers will most certainly see some time after yet another decent game this year. Haters gonna hate but Meyers Leonard is playing better ball this year. He will give the Blazers another option which is always a good thing to have against Marc Gasol. I noticed Stotts worked back into the Davis/Leonard twin tower look. Seemed to work well last game.

The Napier/Connaughton boost off the bench has been a welcome sight. I think you will see this duo continue to impress in tonight's game as Brooks is now moving into the starting position with McLemore and Tyreke Evans playing as relief. Still a tough order. They can play and Evans is looking at Sixth man this year? Thing here is Conley plays a level of defense the rest don't. Dillon Brooks vs CJ is probably the matchup of the game but if CJ starts to get beat look for The 3 guard with Pat covering Brooks or maybe sliding Harkless over? Honestly Stotts will have to find a way to win these battles if the Blazers are going to compete. The other option you might see is Pat C on Parsons again? There will be some tinkering with lineups for sure.

Don't take the Memphis four game losing streak as a sign of weakness. They have lost to Houston twice, Milwaukee and Indiana. The Blazers are going to have to work very hard to get a win. Losing to a couple of the leagues worst teams in the last week is not making me feel real comfortable with any game let alone a team that has been struggling and is looking to get a win. It's like "Here come the Blazers" is really not a scary sight for a team right now. Teams are feeling like the Blazers are the "Fix All" for their problems. A win tonight would ease some tension. A loss and i might as well just stay away from the forums for a day. Not a tough move beings this is a holiday week.

Aminu is still out and he would be a player that the Blazers could use in a "Grind" game like this. I'm not feeling that Harkless has the drive to establish himself in this game so I am looking for Turner to try to step up. I Know...I Know. Tall order. Since Aminu has been out it's almost like the same mantra. Used to be "If Aminu is making shots the Blazers win". Replaced by "If Turner is making plays......". I'm just through thinking Harkless is going to provide a spark this team needs to win. Turner needs to step his game up tonight.

Nurkic???? To play or not to play. That is the question. Lets not get lost in the whole 4th quarter thing. Nurkic needs to stay out of foul trouble and be active around the rim. The Blazers play better when he is on the floor. No love from the refs tonight. So two fouls early and we will all see way too much Leonard. No question the big guy is my pick for this game. Solid game from Nurkic and the Blazers will be in a position to win at the end. That is what we hope for.

Go Blazers!

This post is like kingspeed and BNM posts having a baby

How many times will we see CJ run around the court and dribbling while the shot clock runs down with a turnover?
