Mayo finish his high school basketball career with a dunk that drew a technical foul, but he is looking towards a future he is optimistic about. "I'll see where I stand starting with college workouts and competing with different guys this summer," Mayo said. "I just want to be the greatest player I can be and be an NBA Hall of Famer one day." Earlier this month, Mayo was cited for marijuana possession, but the charge was dropped after another man in the car with Mayo took full responsibility for the drugs. "I'd just like to put it behind me. The situation wasn't a good one," Mayo said. "Things happen sometimes, wrong place at the wrong time. "Any time you have adversity, any time you can overcome it, it's always going to make you a stronger person." [READ]</div>I still think this guy should go number 1 in 2008. Hes my pick for ROY that year no matter what anyone says.

Nice job making fun of him when he didnt even do anything wrong in his quote. But sadly he does not have the right kind of attitude I like. Should be fun to see him in USC next year though.

Stupid people need to get called out. That attitude is no where by any means suited for the NBA, he needs to know it.

OJ Mayo is a hell of a player but is at heart, a scoring PG. Very much like a Gilbert Arenas that can play PG but just loves to score the ball.

If Rose is a Dwyane Wade player like everyone says, how can he be that much differant than Arenas? Arenas averages MORE assists than Wade, yet everyone will call Wade the better play maker, same thing goes for Rose and Mayo. People call arenas a non playmaker because he chucks the ball alot, but he still shares the ball, something Dwyane Wade doesn't do as much.

Read his profile, he's a natural PG.

OJ Mayo from what I've seen with his Weed and Refree incident is going to end up a hell of alot like Ron Artest. Now I'm not saying that he's going to be a great defensive stud and start a brawl but I'm saying that he'll have so much talent but it will be shadowed by his bad attitude and problems with franchises and possibely law officials.

The referee incident was complete nonsense, the referee tripped and OJ had nothing to do with that. The weed charges were dropped....other than possibly having some questionable friends and getting in a fight, he has not done anything too bad....he doesn't have a bad attitude, but questionable decision making.

How come I don't hear any Eric Gordon anywhere?Of all the players in the '08 class he is easily the best scorer. Not only that but he also has a nice all around game. He's capable of 8 apg and 5 rog and averaged near 3 steals per game this year. I definetley think he could be a better version of Brandan Roy in his rookie year.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Evaluation: Eric Gordon may have the best all around game in high school since Kobe Bryant. He is the best scoring guard in the country.</div>http://insider.espn.go.com/ncb/recruiting/...cruitId%3d43679

Gordon's obviously an amazing player, I just want to see him play first. I'll get to watch him at Indiana next year.

I've seen Beasley and Gordon both play in person.. And I'd have to take Beasley over Gordon any day of the week. Gordon is a smart player, can really get up, great shooter - has a slight height disadvantage, he looked like a streaky shooter when I saw him..Beasley is so versatile, so strong, and he can do soo many things.. so for now Beasley > Gordon
