Lets say you guys get a 1 or 2 lottery pick like everyone said you will. Which one do you guys want more, Durant or Oden? Defense or Offense? I think Memphis has excellent offense, but could use Oden's D waaay more. They need help in the front too. But it also wouldn't hurt to throw Durant around in the perimeter and use his size advantage against most players. What do y'all think?

No way Oden is taken after Durant.

The Grizzlies will be taking Oden if they get the first pick. He gets the nod because dominant Centers are impossible to find now adays and because his defense is just outstanding. His post game is very good for a college freshman also, and he could be a great post player if he continues to work on that.Plus the Grizzlies already have Rudy Gay and Hakim Warrik, yet they don't have a Center.

My question is, would they like the first or second? I also thought every team would want the first pick, but what if you want instant scoring? Wouldn't you go with Durant?

If it's memphis than they should definetely take Oden, they don't need more swingmen. However with Boston I'd have them take Durant, they are already working on developement of Big Al, they don't need another big to develop. Now if Milwaukee wins the lottery it will be interesting to see who they take. They already have Micheal Redd as a swingman and Andrew Bogut developing at C.

The Grizzlies will be laughed at for many years if they do not take Oden. Gasol may bolt, and they need a superb defensive center. Durant has number of offensive skill sets, but Rudy Gay will turn out to be a great player at the SF position.

I'm sure Michael Redd will campaign for fellow OSU'er Greg Oden, I sure hope so.

If Memphis got to choose between Oden or Durant, without question, right now, it will be Greg Oden. The only way if we would take Durant is if Gasol asks to be traded no matter what, but its pretty obvious that he feels if Memphis can turn the situation around, he'll stay. Greg Oden will turn the situation around. Easily Oden, he would bring us that defense we lost when we lost Battier. He will be our balancer..and our future franchise after Gasol.(thats if he doesn't steal it before Gasol is gone...lol)

If Greg Oden was coming into the NBA next season, if I were Memphis I would for sure take Oden. Him and Pau Gasol would be be awesome.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (LBJ @ Mar 26 2007, 05:20 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>No way Oden is taken after Durant.</div>Off topic, you're sig is ridiculous.

I agree with cavsfan, everyone needs to fear Oden and Gasol in the frontcourt

When talking about teams that should take Durant over Oden, there are only a select few you could make a case for, and Memphis isn't one of them. They have Pau Gasol, Mike Miller, Rudy Gay, and Hakim Warrick. Kevin Durant doesn't fit there in the first place, and either way, Memphis is desperate for defense. They can run up the score with the best of them, but they can't stop anyone from scoring. Oden would a no-brainer for Memphis.
