<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The pain is still there for Lamar Odom, those times when he is reminded, rather abruptly, that the torn labrum in his left shoulder isn't going anywhere. The latest jolt came Sunday when his arm was wrenched back by Golden State forward Matt Barnes on a shot in the second quarter.Odom winced and gripped his arm for several seconds, as if making sure it was still attached, then shot two free throws, making both."It hurts," Odom said. "Pain's something I'm going to play through until the year is over. When I'm going one way and someone's going the other way, I'll get a pretty good pinch."It pinched, but Odom produced. He finished with a third consecutive double-double, scoring 24 points and tying his career high with 19 rebounds. He was also vital at the end. With the Lakers ahead by two, Kobe Bryant missed a free throw with 19.3 seconds left, but Odom took the rebound, was fouled and hit two free throws for a 114-110 lead."Truly remarkable game, wasn't it?" Coach Phil Jackson said of Odom, who also had four assists.Odom had 15 points and 10 rebounds Friday against New Orleans, and 20 and 15 the previous night against Memphis.</div> It's very similar to what Charlie Villanueva has been going through. Have you guys noticed Odom's injury affecting his play?
He's playing much better. It's funny. Kobe had this same thing a couple years back and was his play was supposed to be affected but they both have seemingly played better with it.
The thing with Lamar is that you can tell that his shoulder his bothering him but he plays through it. Every time he drives and gets hit or he goes for a loose ball or rebound, you can see the grimace on his face. I am delighted though, that even with the pain he plays through it for the good of the team. Because we NEED Lamar! Also, if you guys were not informed, Bynum had been playing with a swollen ankle for about the last 2 weeks and because he played with it in games it took a while to heal. According to him, (yesterday) his ankle has healed.
