That sucks. He's one of the reasons why I enjoyed watching Rip City Blazer games on tv during the late 80s and early 90s.

    RIP Snapper.

One of my favorites. Met Steve years ago. Really a nice person. He was brutally honest at times. I'm guessing that's why he didn't stick around. RIP.

Snapper and The Schonz, the two best in the game. Pick your order.

Oh man, this is so sad. I grew up listening to him on the Blazers and NBC broadcasts. What a great basketball analyst. Steve Jones was basically the first teacher I had for the game of basketball.

    RIP.

Helped introduce me to Blazer basketball as a small boy and was as much part of my experience as the players. RIP Snapper.

VERY good when he was helping to call games and that he did it opposite of Walton should automatically put him in the Broadcaster's Hall of Fame.

Damn not Snapper. One of the best commentators in the game. He made it a pleasure watching blazers games in the 90's. He will be missed. RIP Steve.

I loved how when whoever he was working with would say something stupid, he wouldn't just agree like most. He would say it like it was or call them out etc. Again he was brutally honest. He was not a homer just to be a homer. Really made you see the game as it should be seen.
