What part of "SHE'S NOT A FUCKING CHEROKEE DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?" If she was, then it might be racist, but probably not. More likely it would be insulting simply because Pocahontas was an Alonquin, not a Cherokee, and because she sold out her tribe, married a rich white guy, and became her time period's Kim Kardashian.
Warren has gone to ridiculous lengths to perpetuate her fraud, including plagiarizing "family recipes" In 2012 Breitbart News exhaustively documented the facts surrounding Senator Warren’s claims of Native American ancestry and demonstrated that no credible evidence exists to support those claims. But lack of genealogical evidence has never stopped Senator Warren from boldly asserting as fact something which is flatly not true. In May 2012, Warren’s campaign offered two pieces of evidence, both quickly debunked, in a futile effort to prove her claim. One piece of debunked evidence was her inclusion of Warren “family recipes” in thePow Wow Chow Cookbook, published by the Five Civilized Tribes Museum of Muskogee, Oklahama in 1984. The book’s publishers claimed all the recipes in the book were contributed by descendants of the five civilized tribes–Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Creek and Seminole. Each recipe contributor identified the tribe from which he or she claimed to descend. In Senator Warren’s case, she claimed to descend from the Cherokee tribe in each of her published recipes. Two of the recipes contributed by Senator Warren as evidence of her Cherokee heritage and published in the Pow Wow Chow Cookbook, “Cold Omelets with Crab Meat” and “Crab with Tomato Mayonnaise Dressing” were copied from a 1979 New York Times News Service article by Pierre Franey. A second piece of debunked evidence, a purported 1894 marriage license application which was said to list her great-great-grandmother as a Native American, was demonstrated not to exist. Breitbart News and a noted Cherokee genealogist have documented there is no evidence to support Senator Warren’s claim of Cherokee ancestry. There is evidence, however, that shows Senator Warren’s great-great-great grandfather, Jonathan Crawford, was a member of the Tennessee militia in the 1830s who rounded up the local Cherokee as the first step in their forced “Trail of Tears” journey to Oklahoma. http://www.breitbart.com/big-govern...aims-of-native-american-ancestry-in-new-book/ SIMPLE ENOUGH TO PROVE/DISPROVE, BUT WARREN REFUSES TO TAKE DNA TEST. Republican Scott Brown made Elizabeth Warren’s claims of Native American heritage a campaign issue when he ran against her in the 2012 Massachusetts Senate race, said The Washington Post. He suggested that Warren take a DNA test to settle the claims, The Post said. Brown revived the criticisms in 2016; there is no evidence that Warren has taken such a test. http://www.businessinsider.com/donald-trump-elizabeth-warren-pocahontas-history-2017-11
Ive actually never voted if we are being honest. I'm a principaled person and refuse to vote for idiot scum bags, thus i dont vote, because all politicians are idiot scum bags. Sure, i think trump was the lesser of 2 evils, but that's never been motivation for me to vote.
Dude, how about you PROVE IT TRUE. We're 3 pages into YOUR thread and you haven't managed to do so. And shame on anyone who arbitrarily throws around accusations of racism to prove a point. It seems the list of racist sympathizers on this forum is ever- expanding the longer this thread gets. Sorry but I'm not buying it.
A quote of Trump talking about the subject in question, after the fact? Wow. Bombshell. If you willfully ignore the context of something it makes it hard to have any type of honest discourse.
Just to add info to the thread without jumping in, Snopes took a look at the question dviss is asking. (Caveat: I generally don't go to snopes, b/c I have found them biased in certain questions, but it's the first one I found in a limited lookup of my recollections) https://www.snopes.com/politics/politicians/warren.asp I don't know that anything PROVES SHE IS or PROVES SHE ISN'T (b/c as someone pointed out, she either hasn't taken or hasn't released a DNA test), but in her own words she identified as "white" on her college admissions and then as a Native American while applying for a professor position (and after she earned one).
I took the "while Warren was at U. Penn. Law School she put herself on the 'Minority Law Teacher' list as Native American" as identifying as a law student and the "and was promoted at Harvard" as the result of an application. That may be malcomprehension or reading too deeply on my part...
I believe that "was promoted at Harvard" would have been better phrased as "in promotional literature Harvard listed her as", given that the very next sentence is "But specific evidence that she gained her position at Harvard (at least in part) through her claims to Native American heritage is lacking." It's rather poor writing for Snopes considering that the point of the writing was to clear up exactly that subject... barfo
Let's forget the whole Elizabeth Warren is this or that much native american part and actually look at the meat of this thread. 1. Who says Trump isn't racist? 2. What does this new instance of him saying something he has said before change about anything?
Don't take the bait. This is dviss. Racist is his word, he uses it when he doesn't know what else to say. It's harmless if you don't chomp too hard on it. He has called me racist for various post over several years now. It's what he does. A Sydney wouldn't do it but a dviss does.
He doesn't want to accept the dictionary so why should we? I've decided you're racist for pointing out we're white. And sexist too. You're 0/2
I don't know if Trump is a racist or not. If he used to be one or had a change of heart. Maybe he wasn't and now that he's being called one he's become one. I do know that there are millions of racists in this country and they ain't all white. I want to know why I should even care at this point.
