Okay, so I'll try not to give the usual knee-jerk reaction to your proposal. Isn't he just a younger and somewhat better version of Aminu? Solid D and good finisher around the rim, but I don't think he has a good enough shooting stroke or handles to play SF in Stotts' system, and we have a half dozen other prospects at PF. If you traded CJ for him, unless you get back another really good 2G, the Blazers would be significantly worse, IMO.
Assuming GrandJury isn't Tunchi, would you trade Portland2014 for Tunchi? That's a more debatable scenario than this trade thread. Can we ban his thread-making privileges?
As someone who suggested we trade for AG a couple of years ago and was shot down......I say no fucking way. I like Gordon a lot, but he is not better than CJ. CJ can create for himself better than most. Gordon would be great on this team though.
So Portland is sitting alone in 4th place a half game behind 3rd place in the west. Personally I think the hype of the West getting so powerful was way over-hyped. Now I know we are only 1/4 way through the season, but I don't think a lateral move with one of our top 3 players helps... Now if we could consolidate and get a legit SF to play with Dame/CJ/Vonleh and Nurk then we can talk business.
Considering he only averages 2.1 TOV Per 36 Minutes (For reference: Westbrook averages 4.7), my belief is... Not many.
It's funny how we're pretty good, and even a marginal piece like DeMarre Carroll would make us so much more improved.
Aaron who..............??? Whoever started this thread needs to quit drinking this early in the day........
You do realize, and are smart enough to make logical decisions that this trade is 1) Stupid 2) Doesn't fit your tired narrative that this will win a championship now. Try again. You've never been right, and you probably never will, but try again.
We're a good defensive team. We don't need to trade offense for defense. Live in the present, not the past
