    Disney Ducks are Kool

OSU's original mascot was a Coyote, before it was changed to a Beaver.

I think that was a bad move. Obviously, Coyotes are one hell of a lot more athletic than Beavers.

I'm assuming that you meant to post that in Oregon green font.

Didn't say they were. They got MONEY and almost won it all. Just think about the possibility that one kid went somewhere else because he didn't wanna be a DUCK.

What if one kid meant losing?

None of those sound stupid. Cool? Maybe not.

    They're just goofy names.

If names were all the mattered the Cougars would be the best team in the NW, or the Huskies.

If you were an NBA free agent and narrowed it down to the Pelicans and the Heat and they were a complete tie.

Just being able to tell girls you play for the Heat would be better.

Oh, and Hurricane is a million times better than being a Beav. Gimme a break ya Oregonians.

Oh yeah, to answer. Facilities, coaches, payola all kinds of shit.

I'm just saying Ducks and Beavers are goofy names that nobody would pick today.

All college football is about is location, coaching, and exposure. If you can get at least two you should be a top 25 team.

Don't think it's gonna happen, he'd become the black Lane Kiffin if he did it.

If it did happen, Nebraska and us would likely be fighting over Frost.

I don't think it will happen either, but it's definitely not out of the realm of possibility

It's also not out the realm of possibility that Peterson ends up at Tennessee either lol

Great hire. He’s been very successful as an assistant and he’s young. You have to start your head coaching experience somewhere.

Well . . . I can't say I'm excited by the hire, but it couldn't be any worse than Anderson I guess?

On the plus side, Jonathan Smith seemed to have a horseshoe stuck up his ass when he played for the Beavers, so there's that.

Think he will be a good hire. Fusky fans I talked to raved about him. And he knows the school. Still I am sad Beau Baldwin didn't become the coach. He knows about having to recruit under difficult conditions at Eastern Washington. But again, that's probably why he didn't take the job!

It all comes down to recruiting. They need to give him time to get there. It could be a rough few years before it gets better.

I'm happy with Jonathan Smith. He's been learning under one of the best college coaches for a few years and almost all of Peterson's former assistants have gone one to be successful head coaches. Obviously the fact that he was a stud QB for us is a huge bonus. I would of slightly preferred Beau Baldwin over Smith. Baldwin has head coaching experiencing and his EW teams/offense was awesome. My best case scenario would of been to get Baldwin as the head coach and Smith as the offensive coordinator (offer him more $$ than what UW pays him).

You might still be an option for Tennessee...
