Alright, compromise.... Cheech and Chong's Santa Claus And His Old Lady. Now That's Christmas Nostalgia!
Never understood why Trey Parker and Matt Stone use scatological humor so much. They are such brilliant satirists I don't think they need it. I guess when you have that many shows to write you have to go with whatever comes to mind.
I dont know. When stan was diagnosed with being a cynical ass hole and everything he saw and listened to turned to shit i thought it was both genius and life changing. Never has an episode struck home so perfectly.
I guess you can find high art in dirty humor because now that I think about it.... The closest I have seen South Park come to genius and life changing was when the official movie featured Saddam Hussein fucking Satan in the ass. And then the US military screened the film for the real Saddam the movie right before the Iraqi authorities hung him. That has to fall into sort of surreal life karma boomerang..... like if a escaped Nazi war criminal went to a late night showing of "Springtime For Hitler" before he was arrested.
Why did the Bush family hate Saddam so much? It's a mystery that historians will be debating for centuries.
Ok first of all, GREAT THREAD. Now on to the realness.... If a MF sings Jingle Bell Rock in my vicinity, I might just blow a gasket.
You've clearly never heard the Chipmunks' collaboration with Alan Jackson: "Santa's comin' in a pickup".
It's actually a well arranged song. I'll never sing that shit but hey, he ain't talkin' about white people.
"Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer" is fucking ear genocide. "Feliz Navidad" is the most repetitious bullshit even laid down to wax. "Simply Having a Wonderful Christmastime" sounds like it was written on a paper napkin in 3 minutes next to a gigantic dollar sign. Fuck you all, though, The Chipmunk's "Christmas Don't Be Late" is 50s genius. And Band Aid's "Do They Know It's Christmastime" is everything that USA for Africa wanted to be but wasn't.
