Not sure I saw a post saying we lost because of the refs. Way to put words on peoples posts.
People are allowed to think the refs did poorly and still know it's not the reason why Portland lost.

I guess they called it because their forearms connected. Which they did.

But I agree: it was still a bullshit call. That kind of contact just happens when making a great play. That's just part of the game. As long as it's not excessive, they shouldn't call a foul.

I wish we went to Nurk more. He was hyped to go to start the game had like 11 quick points and we kept going to Dame/CJ against longer defenders the rest of the game.

Just poor decision making all over.

CJ is not a 6th man, he is a starter at pretty much all but 3-4 NBA teams. There are maybe three shooting guards who are clearly better than him in the league, Harden, Butler and Thompson, and a few who might be as good as him at their best - like DeRozan or Beal.

He is however not a great fit next to Dame. They are very hard to defend when they are on fire but they are also too similar. He would be absolutely perfect at 76ers next to Simmons.

Bucks with their size and Giannis are a terrible matchup for this team and it shows, we lost all 4 games against them over the last two seasons (although last night was the first time it wasn't even close I think, was definitely tight earlier this season and at Moda last year but I have no recollection of the game in Milwaukee last year).

When the Blazers were good, they always were described as having length.

One of the exact reasons I struggle with both Dame and CJ. We are at a mismatch on so many nights even when they are scoring efficiently. Since that doesn't happen that often, it puts us in a hole. Add to that, the length we do have at SF/PF aren't scoring options or at least they aren't in this offense that is designed around Dame/CJ with rolls from Nurk until he gets hot and then one of the guards decides they have to get theirs and won't pass him the ball anymore.

Last night was a great example of team defensive ratings being suspect. Not sure where MIL is on that list but Portland has been 2nd in some of them. And yet who would take Portland's defense over the Bucks?

Some of that are the shots that Dame CHOOSES to shoot. He takes quite a few that he doesn't need to that are very difficult.

Im not bothered by losing to MIL, they certainly arent one of the best teams in the NBA, but certainly are terrible matchup for us
of course, theyre not unbeatable, but its really, really tough for us to win against them cause of their length

hell, they beat us in Portland last season too (with Nurk), without Bledsoe

length is their advantage, but last night they played great game and when you combine those two things against POR...

wtf? nowhere did I say this and defending bench 2's is not like defending starting 2's but I've said all along....it's where I think he is best...scoring in bunches...my take....nowhere do I say to reduce his minutes...my idea is to not dig a first half hole against good teams. I'm pretty much alone in this line of thinking...I've felt that way since we signed him. I'd like to see Noah get more of his touches early in games...the ball sticks with CJ too much in my view ..CJ is a great player...ask Kevin McHale how important a 6 man is to a championship team...don't care to argue about it...it's just my opinion...I also think this gets Dame going earlier in games

erasing a momentum changing block in the middle of a run that could have turned the game around....yeah...soccer mom complaint......it's not how many calls, it's the timing of that call that can change a game.
