I agree here. When we acquired him, people had not seen him play with our backcourt yet. Scouts seem to of figured out?
Nurk needs to work on his finishing, and learning when to pass out of the post. He forces a lot of his shots in the post. Our offense sucks because Stotts is retarded. ISO against set defenses every time down. We have 2 of the best pull up shooters in the league and we can’t get some transition 3’s? (We also have big men that can shoot but I don’t ever see a trailer get an open 3 either) We have athletic forwards and we can’t get any transition dunks or alley oops? Why can other point guards get lobs and dunks with their big men all the time? We can’t.
For now...at 23 with his skills, I think Nurk is on his way to figuring it out as well...he's a young big who's ahead of the curve, but it's still a curve...I read an article awhile back that said the 2nd team was bringing it to the starting team at practice...Nurk fever sort of got carried away...it's a development season no matter what fans clamor for...he's developing..starting every game..I'd rather he has the clunkers early on and is beasting by springtime
Turnovers and timing...chemistry...we're not exactly lighting it up in the passing, ball movement game...Ed and Noah are better offensive rebounders than anyone on the team....Nurk tends to get tangled up with whoever is at the 4....that's chemistry..he's 23
this is commonly called the Meyers Leonard syndrome. key symptoms are 1. joining the blazers 2. being a pf/c 3. immediately diverting away from any success you had previously 4. adopting new skillsets you arent proficient in 5. being diehard about it being the right choice 6. ignoring samples saying the opposite 7. make a movie about how good you are in your own head 8. ban anyone on social who disagrees 9. more time on the bench 10. extended contract
Sure we noticed but answer this: Why would you be telling Nurk instead of his coach? If his coach says go to the low block and score, he's gonna try to do it.
“The biggest thing about the pick-and-roll is that it keeps the defense off-balance,” Bird told SI in 1995. “You’re making your opponents work, and you’re forcing them into decisions. Then if they make one little mistake, you’ve got yourself a basket.”
This confirms what I been telling ya. Nurk is hella overrated. He’s a turnover or missed shot waiting to happen when you feed him in the post. If somebody maxes this guy please let him walk. I’d rather rebuild anyways
