    Fair enough. But it's the main reason. Had his skin tone been lighter, hair a bit straighter I don't think we would've heard anything about him being a Muslim either.

    Even though 41% of Muslims in this country are WHITE.

    I loved that guy when I first heard him speak at the Democratic convention.

    I can't say what would have happened to the country if he'd lost and it irritates me to hear people say he hurt race relations in this country. Nothing I can really do about it.

    There is common back ground for both reasons. And Black aint' it for even one.

    Let me refresh your memory from the source of Natural Born;

    "Vattel's Law of Nation 212 Book 1

    "Citizens and natives.

    The citizens are the members of the civil society; bound to this society by certain duties, and subject to its authority,
    they equally participate in its advantages. The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country,
    of parents who are citizens. As the society cannot exist and perpetuate itself otherwise than by the children of the citizens, those children naturally follow the condition of their fathers, and succeed to all their rights. The society is supposed to desire this, in consequence of what it owes to its own preservation; and it is presumed, as matter of course, that each citizen, on entering into society, reserves to his children the right of becoming members of it. The country of the fathers is therefore that of the children;
    and these become true citizens merely by their tacit consent. We shall soon see whether, on their coming to the years of discretion, they may renounce their right, and what they owe to the society in which they were born. I say, that, in order to be of the country,
    it is necessary that a person be born of a father who is a citizen; for, if he is born there of a foreigner,
    it will be only the place of his birth, and not his country."

    You could also notice in the Smithsonian, Madison's copy of this book, complete with his notes in the margins.

    I know of no other place that defines the term Natural Born, do you? Many of the founders had a reference copy. Franklin distributed several he ordered himself.

    Yes, I was sure we had a new messiha rather than a mere President when he gave us this line;

    "this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal ..."

    I think you're talking about a different speech. The one I'm talking about was all about uniting the country and working together as one. That kind of stuff, the kind EVERYONE says and never actually does.

    Ha! Read what I showed you.

    That makes it his place of birth, it does not identfy his country as defined for Natural Born
    Same with McCain, Panama is his place of birth but he is of the country of his parents, as Congress ruled once. As they have for several previous candidates.

    Ah well, I tried. I can't do better than refer to the pertinent history involved with ascertaining the orginal intent.

    You keep giving a fuck about this. I know where he was born. I know who his WHITE AMERICAN mother was. And his Grandfather where he gets his ears and Chin.

    He is a natural born American citizen and anyone who thinks differently has a racism problem.

    Hilarious how you feel you can judge intent of people that lived hundreds of years ago. We didn't even HAVE a panama canal then. Yet to you their intent was to make sure they cover that and not the 50th state in the union....

    Here is another clue, the first Naturalization law.
    http://library.uwb.edu/Static/USimmigration/1790_naturalization_act.html

    Pay close attentions to this specific line;
    "The individual's citizenship was also extended to any children under the age of 21, regardless of their birthplace."

    Yes, one word, racist will obviscate any meaning of the word Natural in the qualification for President.
    Making it redundent, hey? Wonder why Madison put the damn thing in there? Do you think he knew
    a new messiah was on the way? Nah, I suspect he actual had an English lord in mind and the offspring he might have with an American wench, but it was Obama to be the first to fail. Funny how Congress came forward with qualifing candidates before as Natural Born, but they did not do Obama who actually fails the test. Being born in Hawai makes him a citizen under the 14th amendment, but that does not address Natural Born Citizen, the true required qualification for the office of President.
