I just googled some about this and got a bit disappointed by the rumors about it. It sounds like it is going to be a love story. Starring Richard Gere and a box of tribbles.
A Tarantino Star Trek Film? I love Tarantino's movies but I don't know. Its either going to be really good or really bad. Rated R? Its going to be weird to see the crew cursing at each other and snorting cocaine or whatever drug is hip in the 23rd or 24th century depending on if this is a Kirk era film or a Picard era. Patrick Stewart has expressed interest in making another star trek film, especially with Tarantino. But, if its a sequel to Star Trek Beyond then it a kirk movie...though he was going to see his dad who died so apparently there is going to be a time warp story line. So maybe there is hope for Stewart. Though I don't care to see a rehash of Generations. Does anyone know if this a sequel to beyond or if its a different animal all together? Man, rated R...those red shirts are fucked.
I miss the Original Kirk with the hair piece, the corset wrap, the shitty fight chereography. Sleeping with Orion Slave Girls and impregnating half the galaxy. Dude was a mother fuckin' pimp. After seeing Chris Pine as that white trash bounty hunter in Smoking Acees, I thought he could recreate that level of cheese but it didn't work. For me, William Shatner is the King. Quentin, it must be in the spirit of the King!
