How many 40+ & 50+ Point Games Have We Given Up in the Past Couple Seasons?

@Boob-No-More I'm trusting you to get me this stat and compare it to other teams.

Fuck Stotts. I'm tired of players dropping 50+ on us with NO adjustments.

Somebody please post Stotts quote on this. I bet it will go along the lines of "Well they have great shooters so you can't help." Guess what, Harden will make 100% of wide open layups (200ORtg). They will make about 40-45% of open 3s (120-135 ORtg)... Open 3s can be ran out at, you can't do anything about wide open layups if you're not HELPING.

Harden burnt us on 5-6 straight wide open layups. No changes. We could've put Collins in the game to help on those drives and to congest passing lanes out of those drives. He could've handled Ariza on the peremiter, and we could've slid Aminu to a Forward spot instead of small-ball Center and he could've guarded Harden. He couldn't because he was at small-ball Center.

Like... What the fuck. It's so dumb.

I'm not gonna fight you this time. I mean we have overall become one of the best defenses in the NBA. But the games against Milwaukee, NOP, Washington, GS, and Bklyn were horribly coached. 7-8 at home. smh

I'm wondering exactly what it would take for Stotts to force someone like Tucker or Ariza to beat his team instead of letting Harden go 1-on-1 all night long?

I've been saying it for years. Stotts sucks at adjusting, and constant 40+/50+ games go to show for it.

The amount of players that get season highs, career highs, or NBA historical marks happens far too frequently.

    Meh.

Whether Stotts is the right coach for this team is really the least of my worries. This roster isn't good enough for me to properly evaluate that or get worked up about wins or losses that may or may not be because of / or in spite of him.

When/if this roster is ready to win at a substantial level, we can revisit this question.

But right now, a coaching move isn't changing the fortunes of this team and would very likely do more harm than good.

Yeah, I don't want the roster to consistently annoy me. So when they kill it, it's super annoying that Stotts fucks it up.

You have to have decent coaching to evaluate what we have. Nurk gets an off-season of work in, loses 500 lbs and isn't close to as good as last year.

    Seriously....all the evidence you need.

And Harkless auditioning for a zombie role on The Walking Dead isn't a good look either.

My highschool football coach would have run the Wing T offense if 17 year old Jerry Rice and Joe Montana were on the team. He eventually won a state title when he had the players that could dominate the line.... ONCE.

The rest of the time the kids got to lose games and not have any fun unless they were a running back.

Stotts has been given a nice starting guard duo, and 3 or 4 guys who could be 6th man on a competitive team. And some practice projects.

When PA’s replacement gives Stotts a starting front line to coach, you will have room to complain.

We already know what'll happen - the PF will take ten to twelve 18' jumpers per game, connecting on about 42% of them; the SF will stand motionless outside the 3-point line when not involved with running "the weave"; and the C will set ineffective screens that result in Dame being double-teamed, and otherwise sag into the lane on defense giving up open mid-range jumpers all game long.

For what its worth, I am sure tomorrows game vs GS will probably be poorly coached by Stotts

DAMN. Good job pulling that info. That's some pretty damning evidence against Tater Totts.
