The author never even considers that Collins, with his length, lateral quickness and 3-point shooting potential could play PF in today's NBA. He's 7' tall, he HAS to be a center. BNM
Yes. It's an article about the Blazers by a legit news source. There is nothing wrong in posting it. Calling someone names because you don't agree with the article is silly. Attack the post, not the poster.
The author seems to think that the key to success is copying the Warriors and Rockets by going small ball. I say we go big. Nurk at center and Collins at PF would be a matchup nightmare for them.
And who projects him to be a dominant Center of the future. All we were looking for was a competent backup Center that can play good defense and block shots. Sorry we didn't draft Shaq, I guess I'll have to drown myself in Soylent and Voodoo Doughnuts now.
I wonder if this is the same author who about 3 or 4 seasons back wrote some god awful article that we were all making fun of. http://www.sportstwo.com/posts/3723698/ gotta find that OG post.
Goddammit don’t make me defend that shitty article but he is a lotto pick in a deep draft; at 10 we should expect a starter, yeah?
Only top 3 picks should have those kind of expectations. He is a 19 year old project that has played 10 games in the NBA. If one would actually watch him on the court, he is a good player and with development he'll be fine. I'm not worried whatsoever.
This article is funny. Wait until he gets real comfortable and his shots start falling. The nice thing about Collins is that he doesn't want to be good, he wants to be great.
