So, let me get this right.... A Seattle blogger waits until dude actually has shown flashes of having some good potential to bash him in writing? It'd have made more sense two weeks ago. Smells of a dude who lost his NBA team and is bitter about how the last 5 centers they drafted turned into some of the biggest, no-talent busts ever.
He's probably a Warriors fan, after being a L*kers fan after pretending being a Sonics fan while they were bad but was really a true fan when they were good with Payton and Kemp.
I found this article irritating! Not because I care what this fellow says but it does point out we do not get a lot out of the big guys Portland has. I mean Nurk, Leonard, and Collins. I don't like how Stotts uses them more to the point, his lack of using them. It appears to me that he lets the team run as they work it out. None of them know how to work well with a big man and the big men themselves have never learned to use their assets working with well trained ball handlers/playmakers. All three of these guys could serve as the center of the offense while the smaller guys work off the ball, like you might have seen from coaches like Jack Ramsay. Especially after a session with Pete Carril. Nope, never see it. We see small ball! Crap.
A guy who looks about 16 and posts for free on something called Oregon Sports News is a legit news source? Mmmkay.
What, you don't think an article that starts by telling the audience about how you're going to "trigger" them isn't the peak of journalism?
This is my favorite part. Journalism 101: Always give yourself props within your own articles. On the plus side, I do trust him more than Dan "Fake News" Rather.
Wait, but did you guys see those summer league stats!!? This fartknocker might just have a future on ESPN.
I got there, then quit reading, because his stats table is for the ENTIRE rookie seasons of mainly top-5 centers. The writer could have easily set Basketball Reference to look at only the FIRST TEN games played (Collins has played 10). ----------- Collins is not having an historically bad rookie year, as the writer says. D.J. Wilson is similar or worse in draft position, minutes, number of games, win shares/48, BPM, VORP, etc. https://www.basketball-reference.com/draft/NBA_2017.html
