I've made more money than my wife for most of 30 years...now she's going to work for another 10 years after I retire so things are changing but it doesn't matter to either of us who makes the money
I can't wait till my fiancee and I own a winery and its all just one income. Something we create, something we have pride in and something that can afford us a happy life with a vacation every now and then. The money will be the same but she will have the more prestigious title of "winemaker" and I'll just be assistant wine maker and business the business manager.
Man, I'd love it if my wife made more than me. When she took 4-6 months off work to get us settled into our new community, my salary covered everything (and my family is covered 100% health-wise by my employer). Our bank account stayed flat. We were not longing for a damn thing. So a big salary for her would be purely filling in the bank account.
Just got off working 14h and fucked up. oh well. I had to write the word pallet about 50 times today because so many people label their wines using pallet numbers. like 17-ch-rrv-bbl43-postml-pallet18. My head is numb. I need to drink.
It's cool. Only fellow wine folk get to give you shit over that cuz we've all inevitably been there, brother.
My wife is an over achiever. She is a consummate pro. That paycheck reflects years of hard work, years of night school & career success. Gender should not block an Individuals' goals. I'm lucky to be part of her life!!!
