My neighbor came walking over late last night and told me they went on their deck and a mountain lion had their cat in it's mouth right on the deck..I hiked around and .looked for it all day...now I know how my cat of 17 years probably died a couple years back.....she's a goner I'd say....good to see dog empathy in the clip......

Yes, I had enough time with FDR as President to begin to wonder why the hell so many people thought of him as the Great Man. In those days it seemed like everyone was a Democrat and FDR could do no wrong. No, it was even worse, most people did not even question it, if FDR want's it, it is good! In another 10 years of observations pushed me to conclude, that FDR was close to the worse President in American history, only exceeded by Lincoln. Everyone one knows of the inturnment of Japanese Americans which was atrocious, but the confiscation of their property was even more egregious. His conduct of the War in Europe resulted in 45 years of cold war. His conduct of the war in the Pacific was even worse, allow egomaniac Commanders uncontrolled freedom to commit stupidity. Many Island campaigns did not need to be fought as they were not strategic in anyway. Like Palawan and Palau. Then we have Iwo Jima! This island was taken to give the B29's damaged in raid over Japan, a place to land short of the Marianas. Siberia was not working as the Russians interned the crew, which FDR did nothing about. So we take Iwo Jima to save B29 crews! Well, this battle cost the US Marine Corps more casualties than any other Battle in history. More men were expended in taking this damned Island than the entire B29 force under General Curtis LeMay had manning the Bombers. The US Navy already owned the sea for the Marianas to Japan, so Iwo Jima was useless to Japan but we made it a B29 crash landing sight at a tremendous price. A price that even piss poor strategic planning would have determined as ridiculous. Even more ridiculous when one examines the targets LeMay was bombing, Cities, even small Cities, simply to kill people. Hundreds of thousands of them, while leaving the head of the Japanese culture to survive. Not one bomb aimed at the Man, just kill his people whom had no say in anything. I could fill many more pages on what I think of FDR, who is nearly a god to the Democrats, but I suspect you get the picture. Even Obama can't take FDR's position in rank of US Presidents.
