    At what point does it go from being superstition to becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy?

    If the players know they haven't won a game in those uniforms, it may effect them on a subconscious level. It has nothing to do with luck or superstition, but if they are subconsciously aware that they always lose in those uniforms, they may enter the game with less energy and enthusiasm.

    Besides, they're ugly.
