I know this is old but im just looking back at old drafts right now out of boredem.. and noticed this..Bulls 2002 draft: Jay Williams, 2nd Pick; Roger Mason Jr., 31st pickOther 2002 picks: Amare Stoudemire, 9th pick, Carlos Boozer, 35th pickHow gay is that.
....You don't think there is one of these for any team. Firstly I'd just like to point out no one saw a great amount of talent in Boozer before his rookie year. Let me just point this out: 2001: Wizards drafted Kwame Brown, could have drafted Pau Gasol. 2002: Wizards drated Jared Jeffries and Juan Dixon, not too bad but could've gotten Tayshaun. 2003: Wizards drafted Jarvis Hayes, could've drafted Josh Howard, Boris Diaw, or David West. 2004: Wizards drafted Devin Harris then traded for Antawn, not gonna complain about this but there was young talen ton the table. 2005: Wizards had no first rounder 2006: Wizards draft oleksiy pecherov, could have drafted Rajon Rondo. My point is that you never know whats going to happen in these drafts.
lol I realize it happens with every team but it makes me feel like sh*t. I should consider myself lucky to live in Chicago and have MJ play here.

The best to ever play the game of basketball and the guy that had "The Shot" and "The Shot 2" against my team yet I love the guy so much. Thanks for bring it up though, I needed to refresh my mind on how many times my team screwed up. Even football... Missed L.T/D-Nab... Yeah... I just love it!
Jay Williams was actually really good - then he got a freak injury. But he was looking like the next big thing.
I realize we woudlnt have the same players but who says we couldnt be where we are now. Again, this is sort of looking on the past but with Boozer and Amare down low, Jamal crawford at SG, jalen rose at SF and then I'm sure we coulda picken up some kinda PG. Sorry, nothing im saying really matters anyways and this topic was pretty dumb. Just sucks when you look back on these old drafts and see who you could have gotten.
I don't like looking at the past either. At least not when your team's doing well. It's weird to think what could've been. But then if they'd drafted Amare, and someone else got Jay Williams, perhaps he wouldn't've gotten into an accident, and became a big time PG, and then you'd say 'we could've had jay williams'
Dude, We picked Darko with our 2nd (Detroit) when we could had Dwayne Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Josh Howard, Chris Bosh, TJ Ford, David West, Kirk Hinrich, Boris Diaw............
Yeah, but Jay Williams was coming into his own at the end of his rookie year. I think in his last few games he had a triple double against New Jersey and I remember the game. He had 26 points 14 rebounds and 13 assists. He was flat out amazing. If it weren't for his injury we never would have drafted Kirk Hinrich so who knows who wed've gone after. I miss Jay Will, I have always hated him at Duke until he was drafted by the Bulls. He would probably be a Jason Kidd type of player if he was still playing. Probably a 16-17 ppg 5 rpg 7-8 apg player. Man we would have alot of Dukees on the team then, Jay Will, Duhon, and Deng.

And in 2006, we could have drafted Marcus Williams, too. But no, now we're stuck with Donell Taylor as the backup PG for the playoffs.

Antawn has been playing great on the offensive end, he hit a big three to take it to OT tonight and his offensive game has really come alive since Caron and Gil's injuries but he lacks defensive intensity (like everyone else on the wiz) which will keep him from being able to lead the Wizards effectively.
