got this too from cnnsi. I hope the C's are able to turn it around and stay healthy next year. Paul has been around so long, he deserves to be part of the successPaul Pierce concedes he is bothered by his diminished standing in the game because of his affiliation with the Celtics. He is not featured in NBA promos. Even though he was injured during All-Star balloting, his name was rarely mentioned as a worthy choice had he been healthy. How Boston's front office rectifies that situation will determine whether Pierce will want to remain in Boston.-- Boston Globe

I don't think this is anything new....of course he's unhappyDanny Ainge has basically given him Al Jefferson and a bunch of players we still aren't sure about and Doc Rivers as a coachI think Paul is just furtstrated with the season and wants to get back out there and kick some ass next year

Interesting, is Durant/Oden enough to keep Pierce in Boston? Is he looking for a championship contender with this team? Does this team have enough cards to even build a playoff contender? This tradgeic movie epic will open soon come October 2008 ...[IMG]

Obviously he's not happy with a 33 win team last year and a 22 win team this year. The clock definitely is ticking, if we don't get a top 2 pick and trade for a veteran (star or solid player), I don't see him here much longer at all. We will make some trades this summer, and we will have a lottery pick (to keep or to trade, depending on where it is).

Interesting comments from Pierce right here... thought you guys would like to read this:<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>ESPN -The star guard has had a rough season with the Celtics and shared his feelings about his recognition, his future and what Boston will do this summer."It's definitely another year gone by for me," Pierce told the Boston Herald in an interview published Friday. "It's another year we don't get into the postseason. It's another year I don't get recognized for the things I do. I'm the classic case of a great player on a bad team, and it stinks."Pierce, a five-time All-Star, has suffered through injuries and an 18-game losing streak by Boston this season. Despite those difficulties, Pierce has managed to average 25 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.</div>
