You are jobless but your wife makes just enough for your family to survive. You have too much debt you want to pay off but no one wants to hire you on experience, everyone wants schooling. Do you take 20k in student loans and get a networking diploma and hope it works out? Or do you give up on life?
The fuck is a "networking diploma"? Yeah, don't do that shit. Find an online business to start. Or start driving for uber. Sell ur shit on ebay. Hustle bro, hustle!
work with the disabled...I promise you'll have a job tomorrow...you'll never be out of work....learn to use some simple equipment and take a course...usually about 5 hours long. Study online and you're in business and you go home feeling good about what you did for money
If she makes enough to keep you going for a bit and you can handle dealing with people go get a job as an estimator at a body shop. You don't have to DO anything except handle customers and write estimates. Guy I work with has a new house and bought a 50 thousand dollar Hemi Challenger during new years.
I have some debt, my fiancee quite a lot, and we both chose a career where money is limited unless we start our own business. So, eventually that's our plan. But how to deal with the debt now, and get to the point where we can actually start planning for our own business. Well, my fiancee is postponing working in her chosen field in the short run so she can work 2 or 3 jobs waitressing and make a ton more money. If she cot a job making wine she would make 40K. Waitressing she should make 100-125K. Likewise, I am taking a second job in the short run to earn extra scratch. My job in wine chemistry is good for our future goals and pays somewhat decent, but I am about to start driving uber and lyft on nights and weekends. In Santa Rosa the average uber driver last year worked 30h/week and made 53K. I doubt I would work 30 but 20 is certainly possible. If my fiancee and I both do this for a year, and don't spend recklessly, we will be able to pay off all our debts and start amassing some winemaking funds to eventually actually make real money in our chosen field. So, my advise is to take any job, and work like a mother fucker. Take two jobs, work construction, drive uber, wait tables, whatever you can. But keep living like a popper and after a year or two, get your debts under control or wiped out. Good luck.
I guess i should look into uber since i cant even get an interview at home depot. Do uber drivers typically carry more than the minimum state required insurance?
nope, if you go to sign up as a driver they have assistance through texting you that will take you step by step through the process. Just remember that your high paying hours might not be when you want, but that might actually work out family wise. Sat night, all nights, that's where more money is. Also you can do both Lyft and Uber at the same time. All the drivers I chat with prefer lyft cause they make more, but sometimes having only one doesn't give you sufficient #'s of riders.
After you fix a car, what do you do with what you remove? Do you have a big pile of iron testicles out back? Do the cars feel sad when they realize what they are missing? Do you feel guilty when they look at you? barfo
First: Assess your family debt. Next apply at The Home Depot, Loews and a local mega super market all at once, so you can possibly make half of what she makes. You will only see her a few minutes each week, which is what most men do anyway.
Lowes wanted a more qualified candidate. Home depot hasnt got back to me yet. And sams club says they arent hiring.
Not enough information. What do you do that is not marketable? Can you improve that skill? What do you want to study? Is there a community college or state college program you can enroll in that would be less expensive? Is there an option to work part time, even at a crappy job, while going to school so at least you have a little coming in? Beware of the promises of these for-profit "universities", many are frauds. Before you take on $20K dept be damn sure there will be a job at the end of it.
Is there an auto auction such as Manheim? Local car dealers look for courtesy drivers. Perhaps your local super market is always on the hunt for part timers.
