After Sweden lost to Canada in the WJC finals, he took his silver medal off immediately, and threw it in the crowd. I love it.
of course you would. or i guess you could look at it as the kid can't control his emotions at that level in that type of game how will it translate to the nhl? it just screaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaams leadership material.hey who knows but congrats. 3.......................2.............................1........................... cory sucks no goalie prospects our d sucks all our players are in our prime but yet somehow are the 5th youngest team i think. sum up your reply?
Have to agree, and having read his explanation on why he did it I am an even bigger supporter of it. That medal means more to the person he tossed it to than himself. He wasn't playing for 2nd place. Keep that chip on your shoulder, the Rangers need more guys with that type of mindset.
They said he got it back which is good. Watching it i thought he was originally throwing it to a family member.
Guess 2nd place doesn’t mean anything to the people of Sweden which is who that is for. I agree if it’s some euro league silver medal sure but for your country? Not cool
The people of Sweden didn't compete, it was the kids on the ice. This kid wanted nothing to do with getting another silver medal, he wanted to win. That attitude is welcome on the Rangers. nj cup loves participation trophies.
The refs were a disgrace from what I heard in that game. Totally screwing over the Swedes. I've said it many times. NJ Cup is one of those fat, unemployed tool Devils fans that has nothing better to do than come here and be a moron.
