That was a pretty entertaining first half. A close game, nothing really unexpected. It looks like we'll have another great game here. The Suns have really been having their way offensively and I'm liking it. I was hoping that Kurt would be able to play more today, but I guess he isn't needed with Damp not there. He has been rebounding and defending very well so I wanted to see a line-up with him, Amare and Marion against Dallas with Damp, Nowitzki and Howard, but it doesn't look like he'll be playing at all. :(MVP WatchNash: 5-8, 14 points, 4 assists, 2 TO's, 1 stealNowitzki: 4-10, 11 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assistsHoward has been the player of the game though so far with 18 points and 5 rebounds, but Amare is getting w/e he wants on offense again.

Pretty even first half regarding the score, Dallas needs to tighten up more, their offense is doing well but defense leaves a lot of room for improvement in the 2nd half.I have a good feeling about this game right now though, I don't think Mavs are playing to the best of their ability, no offense to the Suns of course.

126-104 Suns win! Jeez, is Dampier your entire defense? Diop was terrible. I was expecting him to do much better because I think he matches up against us better than Damp, but if this is how he's going to play then I'm not afraid of the Dallas 2 headed monster once the playoffs are here. It's really good to finish 2-0 against them after the all-star break, but they need to do it in the playoffs. I'm really looking forward to a series against Dallas.

Ok... Dirk is starting to piss me off. He has played "bad" and not like his true MVP worth for the last 20 games. I think we should feel sorry for Howard and Stack who probably put the best stand on the Mavs. The suns are not invincible their record speaks that. Mavs just played bad today. Our defense was crap. Dampier would have given us some what of a boost and he was missed. The thing pissed me off the most is the mavs could not gaurd the perimeter well enough and allowed 36 points beyond the arc. And what was up with the miss matches? Jason Terry gaurding Amare? WTH... and instead of getting out his way terry just attacked and fouled.... I am tired of the Suns fanfare .... The Mavs are a better team. I guess the playoffs will decide that..... I am starting to hate the Suns more than the Spurs... from sheer annoyance. Offense does not equal winning. The mavs are the total package... but we were lacking on defense.... If dirk nowitzki does not pull his pants up and start acting like a true champ the mavs are gonna face hell in the off season.

The Mavs being a better team is just your opinion as a Mavs fan. Offense does equal winning because the Mavs defense has never, ever even contained a healthy Suns team. Actually they may have in 1 playoff game 2 years ago. The Mavs and Suns are pretty equal I think, but we'll see in the playoffs. You guys won't win if Nash, Amare and Barbosa keep having their way with you guys. I expected more from Diop and more from Harris(on Barbosa). Oh well...Yeah you guys are the total package, but for some reason half of that package is never here against us. What postal service are you guys using? The D wasn't delivered to Phoenix in time. You guys are still Allas. And my jokes are incredibly corny.

Suns had a great 4th quarter. Even though Dallas lost by 20+. The game seemed closer than the score, it was closer than it looked. Phoenix really conected with all around basketball in the 4th. I had no clue Dampier would be out for game. That was a shock. I looked at the tv and saw Damp in a jacket. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>If dirk nowitzki does not pull his pants up and start acting like a true champ the mavs are gonna face hell in the off season.</div>Im pretty sure Dirk had on blue shorts

Yeah, it was closer than it looked. The Suns didn't really dominate or anything, but played a very nice all-around game. No minutes for Kurt. [IMG] This is a really close race for MVP though between Dirk and Nash. Dirk is still ahead imo, but he'll have to have a couple big games to win it.

Whose this dirkenator?I'm not going to put much on Dirk in this one. He wasn't aggressive but he wasn't non-existant. He worked the double teams well and made good passes. The guy I was more disappointed in would have to be Devin Harris. He just disappeared in this one, also he still has misses gimmes when eases his way to the basket. No point in driving so well, when you can't finish Devin. Plus Suns dare him to shoot, he has plenty of wide open pull jumpers off screens but since he's not consistent or great, it's lost. Ticky tack fouls that put him to the bench early in the 1st hurts as well. Just a bad game from him.But besides that, it's a team effort and our team effot defensively was awful and that led to the loss. Can't let a team shoot over 60% and expect to win. Not going to happen.

Dallas's defense has really gone down these last 5 games. If we continue to make these defensive mistakes in the playoffs, we will not go far. Very frustrating game today.

I'm not saying the Suns are perfect. Just saying that they are just as good as the Mavs and can beat them head-to-head in the playoffs. The Mavs just can't stop our guys and if you can't do that who cares what defensive ranking you have?Hey, you guys might have won if Dirk didn't get injured but we'll never know. The stats don't show it but the Suns actually can play some pretty good defense, much, much better than 2 years ago. Most Mavs fans, besides some of the ones here, don't realize that the Suns can play good defense. They automatically think just because we play fast it means that we have no defense like your teams, but that's incorrect. With the amount of points scored, if the Suns held a team to under 100 points regularly, they'd be the best team ever because of the point differential, which would be at 11 or 12 points per game.... They give up so many points because they score so many, but they usually hold teams to a low FG%, cause many turnovers and if needed, a line-up with Kurt, Amare and Marion provides very good rebounding. Their offense is also much better than the Mavs teams of a few years ago. The Mavs never had an inside scorer like Amare so their offense was pretty 1-dimensional like the Suns last year. I don't remember, but did they also have 5 or 6 strong shooting threats from behind the arc like the Suns do? I doubt it. And the Suns can play faster too. We took you guys to 6 games with 3 key players injured...you guys are 0-2 against us so far with only 1 player out. Both teams improved so only the playoffs can show where both teams are at. I don't really care about your season record, you are 2-2 to me.And about where he developed, who really cares? If he wins anything, credit doesn't go to the Mavs. The more he wins the more stupid you guys look for letting him go, especially if we beat you again in the playoffs. Oh, and he hasn't worn out yet, which was Cuban's excuse. Maybe for a couple games in the last 3 years.
