<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ASUFan22 @ Apr 1 2007, 08:01 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I'm not saying the Suns are perfect. Just saying that they are just as good as the Mavs and can beat them head-to-head in the playoffs. The Mavs just can't stop our guys and if you can't do that who cares what defensive ranking you have?Hey, you guys might have won if Dirk didn't get injured but we'll never know. The stats don't show it but the Suns actually can play some pretty good defense, much, much better than 2 years ago. Most Mavs fans, besides some of the ones here, don't realize that the Suns can play good defense. They automatically think just because we play fast it means that we have no defense like your teams, but that's incorrect. With the amount of points scored, if the Suns held a team to under 100 points regularly, they'd be the best team ever because of the point differential, which would be at 11 or 12 points per game.... They give up so many points because they score so many, but they usually hold teams to a low FG%, cause many turnovers and if needed, a line-up with Kurt, Amare and Marion provides very good rebounding. Their offense is also much better than the Mavs teams of a few years ago. The Mavs never had an inside scorer like Amare so their offense was pretty 1-dimensional like the Suns last year. I don't remember, but did they also have 5 or 6 strong shooting threats from behind the arc like the Suns do? I doubt it. And the Suns can play faster too. We took you guys to 6 games with 3 key players injured...you guys are 0-2 against us so far with only 1 player out. Both teams improved so only the playoffs can show where both teams are at. I don't really care about your season record, you are 2-2 to me.And about where he developed, who really cares? If he wins anything, credit doesn't go to the Mavs. The more he wins the more stupid you guys look for letting him go, especially if we beat you again in the playoffs. Oh, and he hasn't worn out yet, which was Cuban's excuse. Maybe for a couple games in the last 3 years.</div>True on the speed part. Mavs are pretty slow... but the Mavs try to bring other teams down to the same speed level. Also true the mavs have no inside treat like Amare.... he is unstoppable. Only thing that was scary was even with a low fg % he still made most of his shots in the game. So he is pretty versitile. Thats why Avery might assign Willis to Amare. The Mavs developed most of its arc threats this year. Howard Stack Terry Nowitzki are the big four .... Harris and George can also shoot beyond the arcI will say this .... the suns can do a good job with defending the paint .... but are sub par at perimeter and field goals.... Dirk had good looks but shot bad so defense was not really an issue with him when he had the chance. Yeah Nash's departure really hurt bad for me expecially becuz he was my hero. Dallas felt a little betrayed when he left. on the other hand... we acquired alot of good players. ..... Dirk averages around 30 ppg against the Suns in the playoffs so dont under estimate him....He seems to do bad .... when his hair is short

Awesome news for Suns fans. The Spurs lost to the Pacers so the Suns now have a 3 game lead with only 9 games left. It's looking good. It would really hurt to have the Spurs take over home court so I'm glad we have a pretty nice lead now. Beating them would guarantee the 2nd seed so hopefully we can do it.

The Mavs lost to the Suns because the Dallas Mavericks have not yet signed Kevin Willis, we know thats the reason. :dribble:
