Meyers for McRoberts and a second is pretty much the type of trade we’d be looking at with Meyers. I’d probably do it straight up for McRoberts as well.

Oh I definitely would. Get rid of that contract and get under the tax? Definitely. I'd even give up a 2nd for that deal.

From Marc Stein: Rival executives expect Jeff Weltman, Orlando’s new team president, to aggressively hunt for new homes for the likes of Evan Fournier, Elfrid Payton and Mario Hezonja, given that Nikola Vucevic’s broken finger is likely to preclude dealing the center.

I know CJ got abused by Jimmy Butler last night...it was ugly...I started imagining what Butler would be like paired with Dame...he's not on the block but that's exactly what we need at the 2 guard..a two way stud

A lot of people were down with a CJ/Butler trade this offseason. But you know Olshey probably didn’t even consider it.

I don't know if Olshey offered CJ or not, but I don't think that the Bulls were looking to add salary. They took the T'Wolves offer of Lavine, Dunn and the 7th pick in the draft (exchanged for #16). That amounted to about a $10 million salary dump and some good young players in exchange for Butler. Taking CJ and, say the #10 pick (bye Zach) would have added salary and probably wasn't what the Bulls were looking for.

There is probably a guy who might be available in OKC, however. And in a vacuum, I feel like Paul George is a better player on both ends than Jimmy.

I'd trade CJ for PG in a heartbeat, even given the contract concerns.

Without PG agreeing to an extension? I don't think so.

Can you imagine the backlash if he left this summer to play on his fourth team in year? I doubt he would do it.

He’s never hidden his desire to play for the Lakers. He’s not asking to be traded from OKC. He’d be gone like smoke in the wind, especially if the Lakers also manage to get James.

neither LeBron or PG13 are going to the LAL, that team wont compete for a couple of years until Lonzo and Ingram improve
of course, they would compete with LeBron and PG13, but they wont be able to win a championship, at best they can go to the finals

LeBron will stay at CLE, or join some other contender, maybe HOU (if they can pull that deal), although Im not sure hed come to the west, so Id say hell stay at CLE... maybe hell join LAL some day, but not now, no way

as for PG13, he said if things work out in OKC, hes willing to stay, but given how they play... Im not sure where could he go, but I dont believe its the LAL

So if he was traded to the Hornets (as just an example), you don't think he would go to the Lakers in free agency?

I just don't think he's as likely to bolt to fourth team if he were traded to his third team. Just my feeling.

Media, fans, etc. PG seems like the kinda guy who cares about his image and perception after seeing his time in Indy. Has that KDesque desire to be liked. Or else he woulda asked out of Indy far earlier.
