    Agreed on both counts.

So it is your contention that deportation of illegal immigrants will reduce recidivism rates amongst previously-incarcerated citizens?

Yes, it would help. I think we need to reduce the available labor force, to improve the status of the workers in general. Making available labor more hirable in general. Gone are the days when the Nation needs to grow and fill the empty spaces. We need to begin thinking of administering the Nation
with a sustainable quality of life goal in mind for the citizens of the Nation. All of them, CEO to Ex Con.

Our system is not in place to reassimilate ex cons back into society as healthy productive members, but rather to isolate them from society to enable recidivism . Prisons are business and like all other business they require returning customers. These prisons are not in the business of reforming anyone. It does not serve Mr. Sessions and other prison owners interests. This guise of reform is merely some new scheme to fill the pocket linings of prison owners.

It's deep. Read between the lines. They're acting like job training is the reason why these people aren't getting hired. It's not. The notion that it's job training is fallacy and IMO they are instituting this approach to use it as a cudgel not to help.

Because more job training doesn't help black felons get hired...

    Stand alone, I agree.

Combined with less competition for the job, will help. Probably even help more in not becoming the felon in the fist place.

Prison sentences should be based on accomplishment instead of time. Anyone can just sit there and let time pass, they should have to do certain things before they are released. This could include education, training, drug treatment, even reading books.

Q Mr. President, why did you backtrack on your stance on FISA?

THE PRESIDENT: Thank you very much everybody.

    Q (Inaudible) immigration?

THE PRESIDENT: It better go well, otherwise the stock market will not be happy. (Laughter.)
The entire conversation oversimplified the issue. They have no clue because they are a rich isolated class. The released convicts don't want a chump change job for $9.66 an hour. They want to sell drugs for 4 grand a night.

Not trying to make it personal, but because you said you own a business (as I do)... would you hire a felon, of any race or creed or nationality? It would be a deterrent to me in matters of equally qualified personnel. If it was someone who was better-qualified (more training or skills, perhaps) it may be a discriminator but not a death knell.

Strange isn't it, I don't want to do this, so damned if I know what to do with a low life of this caliber. I suppose and island populated with like kind
where they compete to grow the food they eat seems about right. But then again, perhaps they are just the raw material with which to make Combine grease.

It is the truth. Easy money and get over or get away with it is their culture. Meanwhile, having rich numbskulls chatting like it is a book made me feel like the way I do.

Well, I don't know if they know what to do, but I am glad to see them speaking of what isn't working. I look on the up side, a good executive will find someone to fix a problem and move to the next when that doesn't work. Fix is not always the right word for what is needed for every problem.
Design and replace are hard to say when you have already said fix. We shall see, but I see nothing to bitch about yet.

I really don't know what our prison system is intended to provide.

    Rehabilitation?
Holy hell, what a colossal failure.

    Vengeance?
Read Jesus' take on that one.

    Deterrence?
Prison time is designed as the deterrence for all manner of crimes?
    This isn't even sensible.

Perhaps Design and replace is in order now. Fix seems a little shallow.

    Wrong.

    Congress is supposedly our representative.

    The President is our leader.

No single person can represent 300,000,000 separate and conflicting views, but he can certainly lead 300,000,000 people in some common goals.

Obviously it prevents it among illegal aliens.

But also by getting them back to the countries that bear responsibility for them in the first place, it increases the share of government funds focused on each ex-con's successful entry back into society.

Government is money, our tax-paid money, and illegal aliens weaken our government's effectiveness in every area by stealing funds meant for Real Americans.

What happens in prison, stays in prison.
