His idea is more plausible. They'd downgrade 2 rotation spots in your idea. They need to add depth pieces. Leonard is probably a better fit for them than Mahinmi, and while Turners a downgrade from Oubre, Napier is much better than any other guard they have and their more suited to run 3 guard lineups with Bazz, Wall, and Beal than we are.
I’m sticking to my initial prediction of Napier, Harkless, Swanigan and a 2nd for Hood and Rubio. Then I could see Olshey trying to move Vonleh and/or Davis for picks.
I think we will move for Hood and we will include Napier in the package. Not sure what will be the extras, if any. I think Napier's and Hood's value might even be similar right now. Utah will get Mirotic in exchange for something, I don't know what possibly they could offer - maybe a 2020 pick? I don't know. Chicago might want Burks. Won't be surprised to see Harkless dealt to the Knicks for Lee.
Thing you're on the right track. Getting Hood and Lee for some combo of Napier/Harkless/extras is pretty good. And I'd keep my eye out on the waivers for a third string PG. Dame/CJ/Hood/Aminu/Nurk Bench: Pat/Lee/ET/Collins/Ed
Is there anyway that we can get a second round pick for Meyers? I loathe the idea of giving up assets to undo our own stupid mistakes.
Has this been posted? couldn't access the full article. "This is the year Portland will break up the potent backcourt of Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum: The Blazers don’t want to trade either one, especially when they awoke Wednesday ranked seventh in the league in defensive efficiency despite the annual external skepticism about the pairing’s capabilities at that end of the floor. But the easiest path to balancing the roster is by parting with one of their two guards — most likely McCollum — for a package headlined by a frontcourt player on their level. No one’s suggesting it’ll happen before the Feb. 8 trade deadline, but Portland’s latest so-so season threatens to be the impetus that finally pushes the longtime Blazers owner Paul Allen in a new direction." – via New York Times
Is that Marc stein? Is that a prediction or actual reporting? I’ll believe it when I see it, but if CJ gets put on the block, Orlando would be my target. A package centered around either Gordon or Isaac.
Why is everyone so up on Cedi? I haven't seen much from him. I've watched Crowder a bit this season and don't really like his game. Numbers don't tell the whole story and his Defense is overrated.
The thing about crowder that gave me some pause in the summer when there was talk about him, was his outside shooting. He's really only had one above average season shooting it from there. Well, this year he's at 30%. So how much of an upgrade would he really be over Aminu?
