Re: SunnyD's Big Bad and Bold 2007 MLB Predictions 1. Daisuke Matsuzaka will win 13 games, great pickup for fantasy owners. The Sox will be happy with his production, but he won't become the team ace. Josh Beckett will emerge and prove why the Sox made the right decision in their trade with Florida. Beckett for AL Cy Young. Talk about bold.2. The Cubs will make the playoffs, as the NL wild card. They will lose to the Dodgers in the first round. Once again, they will leave the Cubs fans heartbroken. Zambrano will have a nice year though. But not as nice as a healthy Ben Sheets. He's been off the radar for a while, but this season he will strike gold with the NL Cy Young.3. Barry Bonds. Will not break the record. This season, at least. He will get 20+. 4. Damn, the Devil Rays suck. Worse than the Royals.5. AL MVP: Vlad Guerrero6. NL MVP: Albert Pujols7. World Series Champions: Detroit Tigers- No weak spots, face it. Anyone try to disagree with me. No weak spots.

Re: SunnyD's Big Bad and Bold 2007 MLB Predictions He gets the job done. Halfway through the season I can see Zumaya closing for Detroit too.
Re: SunnyD's Big Bad and Bold 2007 MLB Predictions Tigers win the WS this season? And the Browns will make the playoffs.
Re: SunnyD's Big Bad and Bold 2007 MLB Predictions If Josh Beckett wins the Cy Young I'll probably blow a huge load. That'd be absolutely giant by him. BTW the Sox have no holes either. Weakest part is our setup, but once we get Timlin back we should be ok. We have a top 3 closer in Papelbon, a deep rotation that'll only get better once Lester is back, and a pretty ridiculously stacked lineup. Sox for World Series.

But God help the person who thinks the Browns will make the playoffs.Daisuke is a question. He's never pitched in the majors, and the Sox need him to dominate. Beckett is a question also, and Schilling misses a lot of games. Suddenly, your deep starting rotation isn't looking so deep anymore.
Re: SunnyD's Big Bad and Bold 2007 MLB Predictions If Beckett wins AL Cy Young I'll kick myself in the nuts. The AL Cy is either going to be Johan, Halladay, or Bonderman. Beckett and his 5 ERA will have to wait.

I think his control will be a lot better this year, and the numbers will show it. He will get a ton of run support as well. Not bold predictions? Beckett and Sheets win Cy Young, Cubs make playoffs, and Vlad winning AL MVP aren't bold predictions?
Re: SunnyD's Big Bad and Bold 2007 MLB Predictions The D-Rays will be better. They still suck pitching wise, but they've got a few 15+ HR guys in their lineup. Rocco Baldelli will be healthy, Carl Crawford is a great leadoff guy, Delmon Young is a promising rookie...etc..
