...most deadly flu season since 1918. Every year people tell me to "get my flu shot"...and I never have.

Some of the patients I’ve administered the flu shot to this year have died,” the doctor said, adding “I don’t care who you are, this scares the crap out of me.”

"Eight Santa Barbara County residents have died from the flu in the last fortnight. Seven of them had the flu shot."

No one sticks any needles in my arm in fact I've had the Flu last year and it went away on it's own. I do not trust any Doctors haven't been to one in years. My Husband on the other hand is a Hypochondriac.

I've never had them either and have gotten along just fine. Flu shots are like the old "hair of the dog" tricks for hangovers.

I always go when I'm in pain. My wife and I go to the same doctor. He is totally cool. Unfortunately, every time my wife needs valued meds they insist that she come in for an office visit. I suppose the profit margins for a GP are low and they need to fund themselves someway or another.

...yeah, I'll be on thyroid hormone for the rest of my life, I know it, and my "doctor" knows it...but every 6 months when my prescription expires I'm required to make an "office visit" simply to have my prescription renewed...I refer to it as having to pay "extortion money".

About a year ago my girl broke her shoulder had to go see a Specialist. When questioning her about meds she was on, he took more than a deep interest. Come to find out, her primary care Doctor was overdoing it with prescription for her alleged ailments. From that point onward, I attended every visit she made. She is now running on more natural stuff. Hippocratic Oath I think the link between much of the Medical Staffers and the Pharmaceutical Companies is much closer for dollar s the patient care. The only money those people get from me is when I take an occasionalaspirin.

...yup, ......sadly, a big part of a doctor's day is also being a PAID dispenser for pharmaceutical companies.

And think about how rampant this was 20 years ago when pharma reps were always in the doctors waiting rooms. .
