The king of beers has officially been dethroned. Budweiser no longer is among the top three best-selling beers in the U.S., according to Beer Marketer's Insights, as people drink less beer or switch to craft brews, wine or spirits. Miller Lite has supplanted Budweiser as the No. 3 favorite beer, behind No. 1 Bud Light and No. 2 Coors Light, according to 2017 estimates from the trade publication, which has tracked the industry for more than 40 years. This is a disaster! No longer KING! That's what happens when a European firm offers a ridiculous buy out price to a greedy family. Knowing the way Bud markets their product, they should be on top soon.
Being here in Tampa offers a lot of opportunity to sample cigar city. Dead Guy is ubiquitous enough that I can get it down here. I went to visit my brother-in-law in Auburn, CA recently and at the brewery we went to they had, of the 20 beers, 15 IPAs, 3 double IPAs, a chocolate stout and a pineapple one. Struck me as odd.
