You do remember his ACL injury right? Maybe you don't. He was a monster before that.

Their numbers are actually relatively close /36. Collins has a couple more rebounds (8 to 6), better 3pt (33% to 21%), but both hit 41% overall, ORTG of 95 and 92, DRTG of 104 and 106, with Dirk scoring 5 more pts. I agree that Dirk isn't the best comp. Dirk improved by being a better scorer. I think Collins will improve by being a better defender and rebounder.

I have been on a Blazer message boards now for about 15 years....and you just can't use a great player in a comparison....without having to defend your complete thought process. Never fails.

If I'm Cleveland, I blow up the team. LeBron is gonna leave. They're not going to win the ring. I'd try to trade LeBron to a destination of his choice.

Precisely. Check out specifically how he produced his first few years in the league in Denver. 13/8 with 2.5 bpg and 37% from 3, during the slowest-paced era in league history. If we were getting that consistently from our PF spot, how good would this team be right now?

Obviously they're not gonna trade him somewhere that doesn't have any assets.

This is why we could get Love for a package centered around Collins/and pickS. Imagine a rebuild starting with Collins, the BKY pick, and 2 Blazer first rounders. That’s not horrible.

Then why would LeBron agree to go somewhere with no assets? It's smarter for him just to leave as a FA.

I'm jaded by the RLEC fiasco. Don't remember much about him before Dallas.

Hmm...what has Collins done in NBA games to make you think he will be a better 3 point shooter than Markkanen?

I like Collins but he isn’t gonna make his paycheck behind the arc.

Lauri is playing 16 more minutes per game than Collins and here are the stats... He's not that much better a shooter and Collins shot .747 from free throw in college so his NBA number is anomaly.

Any prospect garnering a Bill Laimbeer comparison raises eyebrows among longtime members of the Pistons fan base.

A college coach evoked the name of the tough-minded Pistons great in a talent evaluation of Gonzaga power forward Zach Collins, a projected lottery pick in next month’s NBA draft.

The quote, from an unnamed coach whose team played Gonzaga this season, appears in NBA.com’s David Aldridge’s analysis of the top power forwards available for the June 22 draft.

“Tough dude, mean as a rattlesnake,” the coach said. “He’ll be like (Bill) Laimbeer.”
article taken from the Detroit Free Press before the draft last year...also states he needs upper and lower core muscle

Lol...you’re right you didn’t say it in exact words, you just bolded the part of my quote suggesting Collins wouldn’t be a feared 3 point shooter, posted videos of Collins draining 3s(unguarded), and keep suggesting he’s a better player than Markkanen. I have no clue why I jumped to such an absurd conclusion, I’m gonna take a couple hours and go learn the forum now, thanks for the advice.
