I'll say this about Kemba....he's been on a team with a constantly rotating roster....sometimes a coaching style influences a player's impact...he's fast as lightening ...I'll give him that

I never labeled him or anyone else a Tunchi. Don't lump me in with anyone who did.

Not sure why you think a strong opinion isn't deserving of a strong response. Whether I agree with him or not @LayneStaley doesn't seem like a fragile snowflake that is going to go slinking away because his opinion wasn't universally accepted.

never said anything of the sort about you....I'm not making it personal at all....my point is finished...I just read a long argument that I think was not adding anything to the topic....my simple advice was .....agree to disagree.....

    @LayneStaley and others...

    I'll bite.

I think Kemba is, MAAAAYBE, a better value.... TODAY, still MAAAAYBE.
Value to who? His team wants to trade him because he is not locked up. It is precisely
his lower salary (with corresponding low years, 1.5 years left) that decreases his value
to Charlotte. If Kemba was locked in for 3.5 more years like CJ, then it's possible
they try to keep him and rebuild around him (he's 27).

In terms of $$$ costed/stat metric, Kemba is better, but there is more to "better value" than that.
However, he's not a great value to Charlotte, because soon he'll be playing for another team.

    Back on topic,
Several reporters have said numerous times that point blank, the Blazers have said they're not
trading CJ. If the Blazers can get Love without giving up our Big3 + Collins, I'm all for it.

Well, yeah. If POR can get ANY starter quality forward without giving up Dame, C.J., Nurk or Collins, hell yes! Especially if we can get all star level player with championship experience for our table scraps.

This trade works, salary wise, but I think CLE is looking for a bigger name player in return for giving up their second best player:

    http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y8nduzyq

Isaiah Thomas is the player CLE should really be looking to move, especially if they land George Hill, but who's going to give them anything for a 35 game rental of an undersized PG coming off a major injury?

Exactly, I don't think Love is walking through that door, but if he did, I'd welcome him.

How exactly? We can already take on up to a $13M contract without anything ball. Otherwise outgoing and incoming salaries have to be within 125%+$100K of each other. How would cap space help us with a trade?

He's not a "Tunchi" because he actually elaborates on his opinion, and has some sort of logic behind what he says, even if I disagree. You're the only one who's compared him to Tunchi.

It's called discussing opinions, which is part of what a forum is for. Nobody's attacking the guy. Nobody's treating him unfairly. People are simply stating why they think he's wrong and using substance to back up their argument.

    Lmao...

Also, those bottom 5 are all very similar or weave their way in and out of each other, so posting very similar stats that have one guy ahead are going to mere that guy look further ahead than he is.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Can we make an informal forum rule--let's not publicly compare new posters to old, departed posters. If you really think someone is a new incarnation of a previously-banned poster, and that bothers you, report it to SlyPokerDog and let him put his nose to the ground and sniff it out.

    Otherwise, it just derails discussions.

This post isn't aimed at anyone in particular, but it is something that happens from time to time.

I think Love would love to play in Stotts offense....I think we could get him for a couple bench players like Vonleh and Mo...he's the same age as Ed Davis so not over the hill yet.

If this thread would have had a poll, I would have voted "no".

I appreciate you sticking up for me, thank you. That said the minor attacking isn’t enough to get my pulse rate up let alone stop me from posting. Ive played keyboard wars with savages before, a little poke here and there amusses me, if anything.
