I know he's going to be one of the most talked about players going up to the deadline. However I recently looked at the dudes stats and kind of cooled on him. He appears to be a disaster defensively. Anyone who's watched him A lot want to weigh in on that? We can't really add a horrible defender at SF..
Agree. Hood is definitely not the answer for this team in any way. The guy could help off of the bench, but he is not worth giving up pieces.
If I had to pick a forward from Utah.... I'd rather take a chance on Alec Burks' health than Rodney Hood not having inflated stats. But I'm not a huge fan of either player. With that said. I'd still take either of them over Turner, Harkless or Nards.
Was Hood's earlier success perhaps a product of playing alongside Hayward? Might he return to prior years' form if in a third-option situation like he would experience here with Dame/CJ?
He's been hurt. And his teammates aren't really offensive threats outside of Mitchell. As our third/fourth option, I'd much rather he get the shots that Aminu does. This is the kind of undervalued prospects we need to be on the lookout for.
He’s better than any SF we currently have on the roster. Like any of these players, it depends on the price but if he gets the looks ET and Aminu get offensively I think you would see his numbers improve.
True, but I'd argue that the advantage he provides offensively over Turner and Harkless more than offsets the downgrade he represents on defense.
Hood had like one great game against us last season, I believe. That's all I know about the guy. I saw the Jazz live this year in New York but the only guy I noticed was Donovan Mitchell who is a total stud.
