As you all know, BBW has been one of the most consistent, knowledge filled, and active basketball forums for over a very long, long span of time. But, as many of you also know, the Graphics Department of BBW has lacked, severely lacked. Their hasn't been a lot of activity in the GFX department, but who can be blamed? This is a basketball site, many have said. But, tonight, is when the GFX Section of BBW will finally make its mark on the graphics world, finally make its mark towards making BBW the best basketball forum around. We will be featuring our first ever BBW Graphics League! Many of you designers have been making graphics for a long while, and many of you have come across a lot of GFX leagues, I presume. But this will be like no other! It will be very much like the NBA, or NCAAB, itself. There will be 12 teams, made up of 3 designers, and an owner. Each week, there will be a set topic, usually an NBA topic, but sometimes it could be different, to mix it up - give it some variety. After 12 owners have been decided, they will have a chance to name themselves after any NBA team they wish. As said, every week is a new topic. This topic will be given each Sunday night, and the week that was posted the Sunday before it, will be posted the following Monday. Due dates for the sigs will always be Friday at 9:30 PM EST. Any thing after that will be accepted, but judges will deduct marks off, depending how late it is. After Sunday at 12:00 PM EST, no entries will be accepted. I will hand pick 3 other "Elite" GFX designers. Choices will be made according to activity, and the designers knowledge of Graphics, amongst other things. Marks will be given, as seen here:- Creativity- Visual Appeal- Text work - Quality- ExecutionEach sig will be marked out of a grand total of 100 marks (20 each topic). 100 is the most you can get, 0 is the lowest. Judges will be moderately tough, as we want to see some quality work. We will be honest. If your sig stinks, you will be told your sig stinks, and why. If you sig is Elite Quality, you will be told that. We won't hide anything back about our thoughts, unless it is in violation of the boards Rules and Regs. Every week, each teams will be ranked, like the NCAA, by our judges. At the end of the season, Playoffs begin. The top 4 ranked teams will have 2 battles with a hand picked designer. The 2 winners will be placed into the "Championship Bowl" in the Bowl Championship Series after the season, but will still play in the playoffs. The rest of the 8 teams will be in the 1st Elite 8. Winners get into the Top Tier Elite 8, losers into a consolation bracket. This is how the Bowls will be decided. Then the Final 4, then the championship. The 12th seed can win the Playoffs, but that doesn't mean they will play in the championship, but they will be in a better bowl game. Im glad your here.</div>IT would be appreciated, we are trying to get some of the members here, who want to make a commitment to the GFX department to make a contribution, just a sig a week. And thanks, I am going to try to make strides to put BBW GFX on the map, and me and BALLAHOLIC feel this is a god way to do it.
Maybe there could be like a extra man just for backups? I've yet to learn PS even though I have everything like brushes, text, etc.
Anyone who isn't picked in the draft will be put into a free agent pool, and at a later time if this becomes popular, we will make a "Devolopment League" like the NBDL.
