I personally dont think anything should be censored. IMO if your not old enough to see swear words on the computer, then you're defintiely not old enough to be posting on BBWnigga
That's right guys, get it all out. The word nigga is finally losing it's power. The word itself was only powered by the controversy surrounding it, and it's steadily diminishing. People generally believe what they're led to believe, but this silly stance can't be maintained.I think we're all starting to realize that taking offense to what somebody says is a decision. It's a smokescreen; a distraction from reprehensible action on the part of tacit racists and molders of image for money.I remember earlier this year when those racist themed college parties made CNN. You know Clemson, UConn, and, I think Tartleton or Tarkleton College in Texas. The white people that have been consuming these corporate makeover, gangster clowns for years really think that's how black people are unilaterally. Sadly, many black people who are hypnotized and socialized by Viacom feel the same way. Both are equally ignorant. The difference is, those parties drew organized opposition. Are you kidding me? With all the problems that black people have, this is what we protest? White boys drinking malt liquor and wearing platinum ropes on MLK's birthday. Drunk ass Michael Richards spits "nigger" on stage and this what we march for? And if you want to ban a word, whose gonna be in charge of enforcing that stupid rule? That is not easy. And which word is next?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (808NOHornetsfan)</div><div class='quotemain'>I was raised to not say the n-word. I dont know how everyone can say it so easily. I hate that word. It should not be allowed to be said on tv. said and done :brucelee:</div>:wtf1: Hawaiian natives, Samoans and Tongans are genetically closer to Mongoloids. Surprisingly enough, Austronesian groups like the Aeta and Negritos of the Philippines also share genetic properties with east Asians, and they look like this:Aeta Children (Philippines)Negrito Men (Philippines)Negrito Archery (Philipines)They look negroid don't they? Don't be fooled though. :winkglasses: More information on the three major racial groups - Caucasoid, Congoid (obsolete term replaced by negroid), Mongoloid. Austronesians once had their own racial sub-order (Australoid), but it has been rendered defunct recently and instead, they are encompassed as an offshoot (or rather a predecessor) of the mongoloid race.

That word and I have an intimate understanding - a lifetime bond. I've lived through it's transformation. Even when it's unspoken that word has shined on and through me and mine for a loooong time. A cop once said that word to the back of my head, where his gun was pointed, when he guided me to the mud and dirtied the front of my white Michigan State jogging suit. He could have cuffed me where I stood. The point is, there is no intrinsic evil in that word, or any word. The evil was in his heart. These days I'm listening to white boys call themselves niggers or niggas or whatever, and it's almost harmless because I can't detect the hatred behind the ignorance. They've bought and paid for that word. Variations of that word is on tv, movies, radio, cds so much that we've become exponentially desensitized to it's use. We're starting to see past it, for that core of real evil. Nigger is just the echo of that metaphorical shotgun blast you tried to parallel. It used to be close to our ears, but now it's far away. Fact: it's dying. And cain't no distant echo hurt me.Edit: Don't trust the validity of a complaint just because you hear it. Especially when the camera's on and resume material is abundant for the taking. Examine the complaints and the complainers for opportunists. Because within the community, this was just a blip.

I personally don't give a sh*t and I use the word liberally. However, I still realize that I'm not the only person in the world. You apparently aren't quite as conscious of the outside world. I know it's probably fairly suprising to you, but the world doesn't revolve around you and whatever "community" you think you belong to.I was not making a metaphor with the shotgun blast; you misinterpreted what I said. It was merely an example. I mean really, you are talking for the entire black culture and saying that you don't care about it. Not one of you. At all. It's all fake. That's a pretty bold statement with pretty flimsy points to back it up. I'm pretty sure it's not white people that care. There are some people that are desensitized to it, but once again, you and I are not the entire human race.

You see, it is a card that I was dealt. Experience is my trump in this case. I'm fascinated by the paradox of race, and converse on this subject fairly often. It's funny - your spirited denunciation of "nigger" surpasses everybody else so far, except maybe some of the older black folks I've known. People that lived through a different meaning. We're not talking about what the world revolves around, but how a word effects people. Or am I wrong? The word has evolved as the world and many black Americans right along with em. Seemingly all you've noticed is the word change. And I'm the one in a bubble? Don't you think we ever change? Don't you think we can grow? And I'm not speaking for anyone. I'm telling you what I see and hear when I kick it with black people. And not the ones you'll see on the 24 hour news channels, neither. What I mostly glean is phantom pain. And you were comparing me getting called a nigger with getting shot in the face. I got it. But it was so ridiculous, it deserved a remake. I'm not speaking for every black person or the human race. But I'm telling you, there's something going on. Sticks and stones, Justice. Isn't that something? How often the trite can still be true, I mean.

I don't care if you are green or black. Just because you are black doesn't mean I can't have an opinion. Basically your whole argument is, "I am black, and the word doesn't matter to us." Explain why the F*ck I should care what you say? Why should I listen to you over the scholarly people on tv that say that the word still should not be used? Why should I listen to you when I have enough sense to know that if I say the word around many of my black friends, it will offend them? There is no reason, and you have no worthwhile point. And again, I didn't denounce the word nigger. I don't know what the F*ck you're talking about. You mean affects. How the word affects people. Yes, my point was that you don't have any idea how the word affects people, thus you cannot speak for every black person in the country. And you do say that you only speak for you and your homies, but everytime you post you use some term like "black community." Quite honestly, I don't give two shits how you and your 17 year old friends feel about the word. I am talking about black people in the world, not just you and your friends. I don't watch 24-hour news channels. When did I use the word change? Enlighten me.I did indeed compare the situations, but only to a small extent. I did not say that the power of a shotgun is similar to getting called a nigger. That is how you interpreted it (incorrectly). Anyway, a comparison is not a metaphor, but I am not surprised you don't know that.I don't know what you're getting at. Are you saying the word nigger is trite?

Anyway, a comparison is not a metaphor, but I am not surprised you don't know that.I don't know what you're getting at. Are you saying the word nigger is trite?</div>-You're bastardizing my position with an emotional exacerbation of my point. Don't attack a straw man. Argue it straight up. I'm not saying the word doesn't matter "us." I'm saying that I see a lessening of its impact among black people. Black people on television or any national medium are doing the same service that successful black entertainers have done for America all along - confirming what you already think you know. If you don't want to believe me, if you can't conceive it, close your ears. I'll live. And attacking me personally is even weaker than your using this straw man - it's straight snobbery. My reading skillz are bomb.-Race is a paradox because it's indefinable, while "racism" is not. For example, I'm a bit of a racist, but I don't quite trust it. I think we're just people.-You can have an opinion. But it's too bad you don't seem to relish challenging your own narrow view of how black people feel in regard to this word. Do you and your friends talk about this often? I bet you avoid it like hot coals. That's why I'm surprised you don't value my input. But of course, you already know, because you have black friends. You've become one with their inner Negro secrets. You know what offends them. It's funny. You don't care about a black person's opinion, or the fact that he talks to black people about this issue regularly. But I've decided not to be offended. In your mind, I probably shouldn't even exist, or I'm lying. Too funny.-I don't just speak for my homies. I speak for mothers, small business men, drug dealers, high school and college students, the homeless and dispossessed. Where is all that inevitable black outrage that you know so much about present in this thread?-As far as change of the word, you said that you recognize the word doesn't have any meaning. Surely you didn't mean to imply the word never had any meaning. That's a tacit admission that the word has evolved or changed. If I'm wrong or was assuming too much, let me know.-Sorry I called your analogy, and that is what it was, a metaphor or comparison. Maybe even I called it a parable. I like this argument, but I've been doing alot of reading lately, and I'm a little tired.
