Dame needs to step back here with all this nonsense. An expendable player on a lucrative contract who will be a free agent this summer should be a prime trade chip. You can't claim loyalty towards these dudes then expect the team to make sure it's on the path to contention in meetings with the owner.

Also, imagine how Noah/Meyers/et al feel right now reading some of these comments. DWade won titles with Haslem-- not even close to the same combo.

Dame has talked about his love for Ed's game in the past too. He's said he hopes Ed becomes his James Jones for Lebron haha

If a deal presents itself for an upgrade at the wing and we nee to throw in Ed to make it work, Dame's loyalty should NOT be a factor. I have so many doubts about Neil, but we (PA) have entrusted him to do this job.

I actually didn’t think we’d trade Davis, and that was before I knew anything about his intentions on staying beyond this year. I think there are other ways to get below the tax, and besides that there’s really no reason to trade him. No one is giving up a first for a rental role player. At least not in my opinion.

 

I appreciate the loyalty but it's not like the Ed is a major piece of a team anywhere near contending for a title. Ending contract that if you can move for a future piece, you do it. Griffin just got traded and he is a former all-star on a team with basically the same record as the Blazers. If he can be moved, Ed can be moved.

 

Dame's just trying to help raise Ed's trade value anyway he can. All of Dame's friends get traded. CJ should be nervous....or happy.

 

Dame knows exactly WTF he's doing. We should keep Ed.

Vonleh can do what Ed does... and how do you expect us to get better without trading anything of value. You get upset about the idea of trading CJ... now Ed. You think we are gonna get quality players offering only Harkless and Meyers in trade? Or do you think the team is good enough to compete as is? Or do u just like being mediocre?
