    I REALLY HOPE Ed doesn’t go anywhere. Besides bsing my favorite player on the roster, he’s the heart and soul if you ask me.

    His only negative is that he can't (or won't) shoot from more than a few feet from the basket. He's extremely effective inside. A terrific rebounder at both ends. Hustles, plays defense. Efficient on offense.

    Playing him alongside Nurk would seem to clutter the lane too much, which is probably why Ed isn't starting at PF.

    Ed seems a special case. I deleted the post I was about to write earlier a couple of times (cuz collusion), but I think this is the opposite of the LMA situation. Yeah, it would really suck to lose Ed for nothing, so it's tempting to trade high on him, but if he signs an MLE-esque deal to stick around a few years I think that's totally worth it. If he'd give a hometown discount we get a bonus of 2 players being really happy where they are and look like not-the-dicks to other FAs.

    That is why I love him. Does more with less than most. Can be quite effective and efficient without having to run a single play for him. Reminds of B-Grant. Brian had a bit more of a post game, but so do I for that matter. Ed is a beast and needs to be here next season and on.

    Agreed. Obviously, it's great to have Swiss Army knife guys who can do lots of things, but guys who have specialties, know it, stick to them, and do them effectively are often just as valuable if not moreso.

    Ed is better right now. However, if you compare both players in their 4th year - they are mighty close. I'd argue that 4th year Noah is better than 4th year Ed Davis.

    In all honesty, I was thinking that you were the Ed Davis of Blazer Broadcasting. You're not Jeff Curtin, and you don't try to be, but you may be one of the best around at what you do.
