So, Milwaukee is giving up Middleton and a first for Jordan? I don't think so.

Around 19 min mark, gets a bit Blazer heavy.

Lowe: Love + CLE pick for CJ, or Tristan + Nets pick for CJ?

Woj: POR has no interest in trading CJ, and CJ has way more value than that both to POR and around the league.

Lowe: Team is at around 100 mil now, Nurk/Shabazz/Vonleh all due new contracts as RFAs. Noah is a non-entity. Ed Davis also due a new contract has a very valuable contract and has recently outplayed Nurk. Teams in this mold (pretty good, but slightly over lux tax) generally behave the same way in that they try to do whatever it takes to get underneath the threshold. "I've heard same as you" that ANY ANY ANY calls to break up Dame/CJ backcourt have been rejected by Blazers. Any interest in Turner/Hark/Meyers?

Woj: Harkless has been discussed in several places but it's tough. There's a premium on wings like him but Harkless had his best season before his big deal. SACRAMENTO has had some interest in the past. For Portland, they checked in with Clips on Deandre. Neil drafted him and put together that core in LA. I'm told that Portland has backed away a bit for that. If Portland does get Deandre, it loses a ton of flexibility if it does an extension for Jordan at age 30. As of this wknd, Portland has been making calls, but that Clipper thing doesn't seem to be the road it goes on. Could change. Portland is figuring out what its third piece will be. Nurk played so well last year, but he has been up and down for much of this season. Not a coincidence that he didn't get extension this past summer. You want to wait and see with him-- he's been inconsistent, but he's very talented. They'll find a number for him this summer that seems right. With Dame/CJ, it's a great strength for them. if you're gonna move one of em, you have to know that you're gonna get better. This team has in general, won a lot for what they are. Been in playoffs 4 straight years, and not a lot of teams in the west can say that. They want to build on that. The guy they're excited about (I was there in training camp) is Zach Collins. Wasn't ready to play at first-- reminds me of CJ's rookie year. But is getting minutes of late, they think he's going to be "really really good." Wasn't just front office saying this, but both coaches and players really like him. He's a building block and they're not gonna put him in any deal.

Lowe: Really no pieces outside of that that would interest Clips for Deandre either.

I'd unload Moe for Vince Carter's expiring.

    Glad to hear this.
You don't trade away a 23 year old Center who forced Embiid to play 100% on the perimeter and frankly outplayed him on both ends.
For a nearly 30 year old Center who's game is based off athleticism.
I'd trade Nurk for Gasol before I'd even consider trading Nurk for DJ.
As Gasol if he's anything like his brother, his game will age gracefully. DJ though is going to see a steep decline in production.

I can feel the annual disappointment fueled, trade deadline rage starting... I'm probably going to need a meltdown thread in the next few days.

We have no tradable pieces. The sooner people recognize that the better.

I’m still absolutely perplexed Neil thought Evan Turner would be the one to turn a 44 win team into a contender.

I've been on this train for a couple of months now. Carter would be a great vet who Dame and CJ would respect and would be a nice bench player. Plus we get out of one of our 3 bad contracts. Then trade Layman somewhere for nothing or a protected 2nd or something and we'd be under the tax line too.

Similarly, Moe for Belinelli. Harkless would thrive in ATL in that 3 & D factory they got going on.

Yup, that is a favorite of mine too. We just need one team to see that Harkless could be better in a more uptempo system. I think getting rid of one of the 3 bad contracts would ease the tension of money issues and make other trades easier.

Jus re-listened to this portion again. I really wonder what Dame feels about all this as he seems to clearly want more. To some extent, this seems like Woj is Neil's mouthpiece as he justifies the roster that was put together. We overachieved in 2015-16 and overpaid for mediocrity by making some really poor decisions.

Woj is going to hate this team and talk so much shit when Olshey is fired. It'll be like the KP days.

Should be the least of our worries. A lot of good having Woj in his back pocket did for Neil as is

It's been pretty obvious for awhile now but Woj's "source" within the Blazers is Neil himself.

Maybe teams finally understand that you can't build a winner around merely a "good" PF...you must have a HOFer to even hope of having any success.
