Who will be the better NBA prospect? I don't think that Conley will come out of school this year, but Law is going to the NBA.
I think Law is the better NBA prospect...overall but Conley and himself are very closeI would have a tough decision if I was on deck and both were still on the boardThey both have the intangibles and are just so natural at the game
Mike Conley by far. Acie Law has 3 more years experience...you leave Conley in college that long and he's one of the best PG's in Big 10 history.
Mike Conley, the guy can shoot with his right hand or left hand. He's a natural point guard, and is a great penetrator to the basket. Law is a perimeter guy, and is pretty clutch. He can play both guard spots, if a coach needed him to. Neither of them are bad defensive players, either.
Conley, he can light up like some of the best college player I've ever seen. Very versatile scorer with court vision. He plays very smart offense, has that killer instinct, and has that lust to win. He was the key to the OSU offense this year and is nearly unstopabble when he gets going. Good man to man defender and can run any type of offense. I think that Acie Law is a very talented PG and will amount to something in the NBA but Conley jsut seems more NBA ready. Conley would be a great draft pick for a team that needs more scoring while Law probabely would be best for a squad like Atlanta who needs a PG with court vision and play making talents who can still score and take a game in his own hands if a team needs him to. IMO, Conley is both the better play maker and scorer.
I don't think they are comparable because a team would not be trying to decide one over the other because they are so different. Conley is a much better distributor and a better passing lane defender while Law is a much better court general and is a proven clutch player and seems to have a better basketball IQ right now. I think that if you're looking for a scoring/leader guard you go with Law, if you're looking for a pure point guard you go with Conley.
The Legacy: Your post was somewhat contradicting. You said that Conley was a good distributor, yet Law was a court general. A court general IMO is like a TRUE POINT GUARD, so if Conley is the true point guard, shouldn't he be considered the 'court general'?I'll take Law now, but in 2 years I'll take Conley Jr since he's 4 yearas younger than Law.
Honestly it depends on what kind of team you have. If you need a PG who needs to get everyone involved then Conley's your guy. If you're looking for a PG who can create his own offense and can put on a show, Law is who you need.

It's just that A&M's offense doesn't base itself around penetration (why the hell not, I don't know). He can get in there, I promise you. As for the natural point guard thing, I could see a difference there.Keep in mind that I'm not really saying anything about Conley, I just was making the point that Acie can do what you're talking about.
I'll go with Conley as well, the kid just makes things happen. He's an great talent for a freshman, he's a very heady player, he can penetrate, he splits defenders like no other, he's good good floor vision, he can shoot the 3, he plays under control, and he usually excels when the game is on the line. Now, Acie Law can do most of those things as well, but like BCB said, Law is a senior and Conley is a freshman. If I was starting an NBA franchise and I had to pick between Conley and Law, I'd go with Conley.
Both of them are great flood-leaders, how and the hell can you not choose Conley considering he's three years younger and was not that much below Acie Law this season in terms of production...Potential wise Conley's clearly the winner...it's a no brainer, I doubt any team would pick Law over Conley.
