Seems to me that 3/5 of our starting lineup is the current problem, fix that and the bench will be fine with Amino, Turner, Davis, Collins, Napier, and Pat on it.

The problem isn't whether or not he is a sleeper. It's that Orlando makes the dumbest decisions. By not picking up the 4th year on his rookie deal it means his bird rights don't transfer. We'd have no chance to keep him after this year.

I LOVE Isaac, that was the player I was praying for last year, too bad.

At this point, I think they are probably just to move Harkless. But I would like to be pleasantly surprised!

Maybe we can throw our MLE at him this summer. Depends on if we can get below the tax this year so we have more to offer.

I agree, we would win this trade period if we could pawn off Hark and Myers as the 3rd team in seperate deals to make contracts work for other teams while taking back expirings.

If we just get rid of one more contract and build up Meyer's trade..... OMG I ALMOST DID IT! I almost made a straight face when I said that! :biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh:

I would love that. He could become really solid player, like Tobias Harris, we saw him outside of that horrible franchise.

There is virtually no chance of getting the full-MLE unless Olshey gets rid of a bunch of contracts right now. Using the full-MLE would hard cap us meaning we'd probably have to let everyone walk including Nurk and could probably only sign one of Napier, Vonleh, Davis, and Connaughton.

It's more realistic to just assume we'd only have the taxpayer-MLE. If he played well here then he'd sign elsewhere for more. If he didn't play well then he probably isn't worth that.

It's just like the Tyreke Evans and Nerlens Noel situations. It just doesn't make a lot of sense for us to trade for those guys unless we don't give up anything of note for them.

    What about this:
    OKC gets Harkless
    Atl gets Abrines and Vonleh
Por gets Belinelli, Singler, 2018 2nd round pick from OKC

Atlanta gets a couple of young guys for Marco’s expiring deal. OKC gets Harkless and rid of one of their contracts that they don’t want.

Blazers get a shooter and a bad contract but it is only half of what Harkless makes. They also just slide under the tax line. Singler is basically worthless though. Not flashy at all but makes sense in terms of the tax.

I'd say 2/5ths of the starting line-up is the problem (Turner/Aminu). Then subtract Turner from the bench, and yes, the bench is "fine". But ultimately, the bench still needs a legit 6th man.

    In summary:
    • Erase Aminu/Turner from starting line-up
    • Erase Turner from the team
    • Add 6th man

What would we win? If you mean like how we "won" the Crabbe trade with BKN, then yeah, I guess. That's a pretty depressing use of the word "win" though.

    Who is the fringe all-star?
Love IS an all-star & has been several times. That is not a "fringe" all-star.

What is asinine about that argument is CJ has never even come close to sniffing an all-star selection. So how in the hell does a 'common' player like CJ have more value than an all-star + loto pick?

Love wouldn't be an all-star without LBJ, nor would he make it in the West anymore. He's a fringe all-star much like Horford.

    As for your other sentence...
    :police:
I'm not the one forming the argument so go to twitter and call this guy asinine.
