That’s the problem... every year it’s a small trade... he keeps telling us to be patient, then says there were no deals available. After 6 years it’s the same excuse... scared to shake things up... this team as constructed , on top not being very good, is not fun to watch.

It will be fun to watch a DeAndre led Clippers team snatch the last playoff spot from Blazers after Neil stands pat at the deadline tomorrow

How is it rearranging deck chairs if it's a completely different roster? That makes no sense.

I have a hunch the Blazers will try hard for DeAndre tomorrow though.

Was there a reason you omitted Jordan Clarkson? He's in my opinion the one where I would give up a first round pick for. Could we use our Crabbe trade exception to go get him?

Same players that just go by different names. Rearranging the deck chairs.

Going into 2012-2013 they got a new coach and GM after being well below .500 and drafted Damian. That seems like shaking things up.

They get over 50 wins for a couple seasons. Then after the 2014/2015 season their best player strings them along in Free agency and ultimately leaves. So the team goes in a different direction and by the end of the summer four of the five starters are gone. That also seems like shaking things up.

Then all the shit that happened in the summer of 2016.

I fail to understand how anyone can say the team hasn’t been shaken up in the last 6 years…

How about this: different players, different everything, same results.

Randle and Clarkson would be a Homerun in my opinion.

No I just accidentally skipped him while copying and pasting. But I don’t think we’d trade the exception for him, or anyone else.

I mean, if you're talking about the Ricky Bobby Memorial binary "Win Championship/Suck at Life" result tree, then sure.

If not, then I disagree. We retooled twice and have made the second round twice in 5 years. Which is as much as we did from 1993-2012. Heck, we've made the playoffs 4 straight years when we made in 3 total of the previous 10.

Since 2012: Same Coach. Same GM. Same Owner. Same Stadium. Similar shitty TV contracts. Same poor valuation of draft capital.
Different alpha player. Different "Robin". Different offensive philosophies. Different defensive philosophies. Different philosophies on FA spending.

    Still 2 2nd-rounds in 4 years.

Why not? Is Neil seriously going to let 12-13 million dollars just expire and not do anything with it? That would be incredibly stupid. What was the point of getting the trade exception in the first place?

I don’t think that was a goal. It just came with dumping part of Crabbes contract.
